OurPick encouragement program is part of the @Liotes ecosystem, where quality posts are curated. Authors are encouraged to continue creating content, adding value to various communities, and contributing to Hive in general.

Occasionally, we will select a couple of outstanding posts that we find particularly interesting and suggest them for your further reading... We hope it will help authors as an additional promotional tool... We support creators with our upvotes in Hive, but also in other tribe tokens! These Hive-Engine tribes add extra value to the entire ecosystem, helping authors and curators follow their niches and dreams...

I have a bit mixed feelings regarding modern art... I mean, I saw some great artworks, but like in all other environments, we can see a lot of slop... Or, I'm just too stupid to understand the message of some of them... đ
Of course, the pieces you shared are not part of the slop as they wouldn't finish in such a prestigious place as the Guggenheim Museum, Bilbao!
My favorites from what you shared? Hmmm... I usually appreciate most those who make a connection with me or with my previous experience... So, I would go with your favorite and the headless sculpture as it reminds me of another sculpture I photographed last year in Prague, Czechia...

You got me confused with this post multiple times... First of all, the name of the guy was very familiar, so I had to re-check it, if it was "that" Edwyn Collins... One doubt resolved, it is... đ
Then you mentioned punk-indie, and I pushed the PLAY button and got some funk-pop into my ears... Oh, okay, they changed their style... đ
All in all, I suppose I was a bit too young in 1983, and I never heard about this band, but I do like the sound, and I share your taste in picking the last one as my favorite!

It's nothing new to see people pretending and faking something that they aren't... It was happening in the past, it's happening in the present, and will in the future... Not sure if it's more "visible" nowadays than in the past, but it becomes too widespread all around the world with social media... We had so many gurus, influencers, and smartasses that it looks like we are doing better than ever... While the reality is completely the opposite, similar to your example with your classmate... 99% is all fake...
The biggest problem is that those fake people are role models for young generations, which is very bad for them... đ

Itâs great news that youâve managed to get that campaign back on track, that your cousin has helped you, and that, having submitted all the necessary documentation, youâve been given the go-ahead for everything to proceed as planned. Over in Venezuela there are so many obstacles, and without the help of a family member, this sort of thing, and others too, is very difficult.
But youâre also documenting here how the process works and how someone else can achieve the same thing, and thatâs brilliant.

This music and this artist are deeply rooted in the heritage of all Venezuelans. When I listen to it, both the voice and the instruments remind me of Argentine folklore, perhaps because of the Latin connection. What you say about memories is true; thatâs what defines a countryâs origins, its land, its culture and its traditions. Itâs great that schools teach about indigenous music, and the best thing is his YouTube channel for keeping that tradition alive so that younger people can discover him and, through him, the roots and customs of your country. This singer conveys that love for the land in his songs, and thatâs worth a great deal.

Your works are absolutely marvellous, to the point that sometimes they donât even look like watercolours. Painting a scene using this technique and making it look realistic is, itâs true, no easy feat, but I can see that achievement in each and every one of your paintings. Iâve had very little experience with watercolour painting, I mainly paint in oils, but I find it truly astonishing. As you mention, itâs something that requires a great deal of patience, almost a meditative state.
