Maybe It's Finally Time for Algorithms by @meno

I suppose we always come back to the roots... Show by example... Until we start implementing that, we will have all the other "social media" issues... Hot, Trending makes no sense, and with all AI around, we should have some better content discovery tools... With very limited coding skills, Achim created a small AI curation tool for liotes@liotes that retrieves the Top 15 posts from the last 2-3 hours... Of course, it makes mistakes and picks some shit posts too, but... Make 2-3 more agents with different purposes/filters, and voilà, better content discovery...
After checking the post-show text channel, I saw a discussion about personal feeds and algorithms... I think Web2 platforms proved that the system works, and Tibfox's example of TikTok serving him quality content is a perfect example that it works! Serve to people what they WANT TO SEE, and not what the "agenda" is... While writing this, I realized that maybe exactly that could make us different from others! No secret agenda, subliminal messages, and conspiracy theories... 😃

All Aboard the Monomad Challenge by @litguru

What a beautiful cruise ship, but your photos are even more stunning, especially the close-ups. I love the creativity of taking photos from a higher vantage point and from amongst the bushes. I’ve never been on a cruise either, but a short trip wouldn’t be half bad. Why do you say there’d be looting if you went? That made me laugh!
The black-and-white photography gave the composition a special touch; I don’t know why, but it reminded me of the Titanic era.

I like the positive attitude and the final thoughts... 😃 Regarding content creation and curation, I would say that the centralization of curation is one of the biggest issues... I know that some of the big curators have big teams who are doing the job, but still, having more active individuals, curating their communities, leaving meaningful comments, would be much more effective than any centralized curation project...
Also, as you stated, distribution is another big problem, mainly caused by the first one, centralized curation... There is no easy fix for that... Education, and showing by example that the real (account) growth is built on active participation, creating posts, commenting, and manual curating...

It really shows just what can be achieved with this material and how durable it is. These days it’s used for all sorts of things, even insoles; my brother has a pair made of resin and, to tell the truth, they’re the ones that have worked best for him. But resin is wonderful in art; craftspeople put a great deal of patience and attention to detail into their work, like with the campfire you mentioned, which, by the way, is absolutely lovely.
But when I see the other two pieces, I’m even more amazed; there’s such a high level of realism, and you can tell the channel’s creator is a real professional.

Firstly, good to see both of you doing well and enjoying the vacation! I know you had a bumpy year, and this vacation was needed to unplug from the Matrix!
I never visited Biograd, but with the photos you shared, I get why you liked it... And regarding the heat, we are having similar weather in Spain and doing the same as you did... Mornings for the beach, during the day with the A/C in the apartments, and go out for a walk in the evenings...
