It has to be a great feeling when you come back home from a long vacation! I know that it happens to me when I come back from just 3-4 weeks of absence... Btw., I think that we had that bad weather with a lot of dust in the air 2 weeks ago as it was exactly like you explained, everything was dirty and it was hard to breathe outside!
I had a good laugh at your comments about that "art" which looks like some garbage thrown around... But, I'm not an art expert and maybe it has some special meaning...
