I have to disagree with you about this... DeFi is far away from being dead and there were tons of innovations regarding it... Unfortunately, we didn't have any in our HIVE ecosystem, but that doesn't mean that there weren't in other blockchains... One of the best examples is probably Arbitrum which had a huge % of all crypto DeFi on their blockchain...
Also, if you check the total DeFi market cap chart and compare it with the whole crypto market cap, you will notice almost the same drop, which means that both are moving at a similar pace... So, if we say that DeFi is dead, then we can say that crypto is dead too... 😃 When the truth is that we were/are in a bear market and everyone is hit hard...
But, I have to agree that "part of Defi" is dead, and that part is the massive crypto farming platforms that we had in the last bull run... Those were completely unsustainable and their crash was expected anyways...

SPS Staking VS Liquidity Pools by @bordel

That's a good comparision between staking and liquidity providing for SPS.
"Personally, I stake about half of my tokens and put the other half into liquidity pools."
I have a similar strategy. I like to grow my stake in the game since it will be necessary to stake on players in the future. I also like to grow my position in the liquidity pools. There is more risk linked to these pools of course but you have also more flexibility. If you want you take everything out in seconds :-)
