I'm a big fan of Hive-engine tokens too, I hold some of them, but I think the creators sometimes needs to do more for them to be wantable

Seems to me that a lot of them are started without their founders really having much of a business plan, at least beyond "we created a token, where's my Lambo?"
Which just isn't going to work.

Second layer are always going to struggle if the people behind them aren't as creative. That's why token like BRO has stood the test of time.
