I hope all are fine and doing great things. I am here to share my post with you guys. Today's post is about the REPUBLIC DAY OF INDIA. By the way, I should have written this post on 26th Jan itself but I could not write it.

Republic Day is celebrated 73rd time with great pomp in India on 26th Jan and this year our Indian defense team also keeping in mind the Covid, all the preparations of the Republic have been completed. Every year on 26th January, there is a parade in the city which is the capital State of India All the ministers of India and our President also come on this occasion. Our Indian Navy, Air Force, and Army all together take out a parade and salute the President of our country. People from all over India come to see the events. This day is made so proudly because on this day the Constitution came to India on 26th January 1950.

But today I will tell you some interesting facts that no one will know about.**

FACT NO 1.

WHY INDIA CELEBRATE REPUBLIC DAY ON DATE 26 JANUARY

India's first Constituent Assembly was formed and for the first time the assembly sat in the Parliament on 9th December 1946 in India at that time a temporary president was appointed whose name was
Dr. Sachchidananda Sinha.

FACT NO. 2

IS THIS THE LONGEST CONSTITUTION IN THE WORLD ?

Yes, Our India Constitution is the largest constitution in the world. Because first it is written by hand in English and Hindi and it has mention 448 articles and 12 Schedules. The surprising thing is that the constitution was never written in print or typed.

HOW MANY WORDS OF ENGLISH ARE THERE IN OUR CONSTITUTION ?

Our English Constitution, has a total of 117369 words which contains a total of 44 articles, 12 schedules, and 115 amendments.

WHO HANDWROTE THE CONSTITUTION OF INDIA ?

The Orignal Copies of our Indian constitution were handwritten by Prem Behari. He wrote the constitution in English language calligraphy ( Flowing Italic Style). Calligraphy was a hobby of Mr. Prem Bihari and his family.

WHO DECORATED THE PAGE OF THE INDIAN CONSTITUTION ?

As I already said in the above lines our Indian constitution was handwritten but every page of the Constitution is Decorated by Mr. Shantiniketan who was an artist at that time. Shantiniketan had taken the help of 2 people in this work, whose names are Nandalal Bose and Beohar Rammanohar Sinha.

FACT NO. 6

HOW MANY YEARS TO WRITE DOWN THE CONSTITUTION ?

When the Constitution Assembly was sitting in the Parliament, on 9 December 1946, the preparation for writing the Constitution was started and it took around 2 years, 11 months, and 18 days. After that, it was again presented in the Parliament as a final draft.

On 26 November 1949, The Constituent Assembly was ready with the
final draft after 11 sessions which were held in November month between 14 to 26. But on 26 January 1950, All the members of the Constituent Assembly ( 284 )signed one by one on that constitution at the Parliament Hall which is located in New Delhi.
