Things are really starting to fall into place as far as the Little League World Series bracket is concerned. It has been a flurry of activity over the past few days as four games have been played each day for the past five six days. I'm actually going to be a bit sad when it is all over because it has been really funny recapping the action with you.
I know my posts have been a little shorter the last couple of days, but I have been trying to be more consistent and that means I have less to talk about each day. I'm sure nobody really cares.
So let's get right to it. Yesterday on the US side of the bracket we had two games in the winners portion which is the top half of the bracket. You might remember yesterday I made the prediction that it would be the Southeast versus Japan in the final. Well, that became a bit harder given the fact that Mountain won against Southeast 1 to 0 and moved them down to the losers portion of the bracket.
It could still happen, but it is a much harder road for them now.
However, the other game on the US side of the bracket was a bit more lopsided with Metro hammering the Midwest 13 to 1.
On the International side, Japan was also handed a harder road to my prediction after a 4 to 0 loss against Latin America. Asia-Pacific had a really good game against The Caribbean beating them 4 to 0.
This sets up the next round of elimination games that will be played today.
Canada takes on The Caribbean in the International bracket, as well as Mexico facing Japan.
On the US side of things either the West or the Southeast will be going home for good. Finally, will it be the Midwest or the Northwest who keep their hopes alive in the losers bracket.
I'm really looking forward to finding out!
