Introduction
Good day everyone, hope you are doing fine and well as we close in towards the end of the work week. I am glad to be back again to share on some of the things that I've been to and been part of. Today's sharing will be on a photobooth job to remember at least for sometime. So let's get right on to the topic proper.
A Photobooth Job To Remember
This is a job that really stretch me and my team to the fullest. Why do I say so?
For a typical photobooth job, what my team and I will request the following from the organizers:
And for the record, none of these were fulfilled for this event. And so we had to think out of the box to ensure we can overcome all these constraints to ensure our photo output is still good.
No Nearby Power
The least of our problems, we just got to bring additional extension coords to ensure we can connect to the power socket of the nearest displacement to us.
SOLVED!
No Table For Equipment/Photobooth Props
This is a real big bummer for us. So I had to dig out an old modified trolley that I made about 6 years ago and put it to use.

And in the above pic is my modified trolley with a table board. By assembling and transforming, the trolley become a workstation that my equipment can sit on.

Workstation settled, but we still did not have space for props, so what we did was to combine our luggage that we use for carry our equipment and do up a makeshift props stands covered with black cloth as below:

SOLVED!
Outdoor Environment
This is a big problem for us and the only we can do is to unjam the wheels of the trolley, identify the shortest route to shelter, take the black cloth and wrap up the props, then wheel everything into shelter.
And should there be spraying of water due to water gun fights later (the event venue is a water theme park), my partner and I are ready to use our body to shield any stream of water that come our way to ensure our equipment is nice and dry.
MITIGATED!
Poor Lighting
In poor lighting, it is super hard to focus on the backdrop made by the organizers. The backdrop is very nice but it is a killer to focusing due to backlit.

If we refer the picture below, the 2 lights that we setup will be the key to overcome these hindrance that we encounter during the running of the booth. First light that is more to the left is an LED that aids autofocus while the strobe that we setup behind will be the one to give it a nice fill for a nice photo.

SOLVED!
Participants (Resorts World Sentosa Staff) Had Fun
With all our problems solved, it was time to have fun as we welcome the staff for their annual retreat where they can finally let their hair down in a closed door event. Everyone had fun especially during the water gun fight. We delivered good quality print outs and everyone go home happy. So glad to be part of this event.

Closing
It was a fun event for sure and also one that really got us rack up our brains in order to get things moving. I've enjoyed it and pleased with how my partner and I manage to solve all the constraints given to us. Never give up and think out of the box!
Thank you for coming by and have a great day!
