I'm writing this on a beautiful Saturday morning where I hear the birds chirping early in the morning. Personaly, I woke up several times last night and early morning, once because I had a horrible cramp in my leg which made it impossible to move from the bed, ouch! I honestly forgot how painful that can be but now I know again. When I opened my bedroom door at 6 AM when it happened, both cats were waiting at my door to check out if I was ok because they probably heard me say ouch several times, lol.
My dear Luna has a bed in the hallway that's at my feets end of the bed, only divided by a thin wall and usually she seems to sleep there most of the night, probably because she wants to be close to me. I love her dearly, as well as Maesi, but after 3 months or more of them in my bedroom and bed upon moving to this new apartment, I couldn't stand the hairs in my bed anymore and decided enough is enough. I'm perfectly ok for them to lay on the chairs and couch and even have hairy blankets that need more washing than usual on the couch, but not on my bed anymore.
I've noticed that I'm sensitive to closed windows at night and especially in the smaller room where I currently sleep it's very important to have both side of the windows open to a certain point for me not to be clogged up in the morning so no hairy cats are allowed here anymore. Of course they try to enter the room as many times as they can, to smell if all is still ok and then to leave again, unless I don't pay attention because then one or both of them end up on my bed. They know once they are sleeping so adorable that I will probably give them slack, lol. They trained me well!
I was surprisded that the first thing my daughter did upon waking up around 8 am was her maths homework! She had two pages with sums to solve and I was quite proud of her that this was something she didn't postpone but started doing right away. She seems quite responsible for her age, I think she has that from her mother as I was always doing my homework in time as well, even without someone reminding me about it.
I checked the first page of her sums and she only made 2 writing errors, her 4's sometimes look like 9s but I taught her how she should write the 4 so it's not that confusing anymore. It was clear she solved them all well. There was just one error, where she forgot to add up one number, and there were many sums so she clearly understands it well.
She had 4 exams in the past week and I believe they're now all done with exams for this second trimester which is such a huge difference with her first school because at that school they were still giving exams on the day of the report cards being released. Which I always found odd. The teachers here seem to have a better routine, which is great. In a few weeks it's "Semana Santa" or Holy week, so another 8 days of holidays are waiting, let's hope the weather is as lovely as it is now.
As I didn't finish this post yesterday because of us enjoying a lovely Saturday out, I decided to finish it today, Sunday.. It's just a few minutes before the morning ends so officially still morning.. What a lovely Sunday morning this has been so far. It was the second day in a row that I woke up without headaches and felt on top of the world.
I immediately took the time to start organizing some stuff that I wanted to do weeks ago but due to health issues I couldn't. We went through old socks to get rid off (too small, damn kids grow fast!) I cleared out part of the wardrobe because very warm vests are definitely disappearing in a box soon, yesterday we had 28 degrees Celcius, summer is around the corner here.
The little lady was so helpful by starting to clean her room, and she did it very well this time, so she'll get a reward from me today for her good work. I threw out a big bag with old shoes as well as clothes that can still be used but didn't sell when I put them online. At some point I'm done with trying as the bags of unused items are piling up, I want to declutter! The bag was placed next to the bins outside so will probably be snatched away soon as is always the case here.
As I don't want to overdo it, and curse my back, which has only been an issue lately when I overdo things or am walking all day, I'm now going to get myself ready and summon the other two to go and enjoy the weather and some lovely food somewhere. We all deserve some relaxation time and vitamin d...
Have a lovely Sunday!
