[EN/PT-BR] My biggest dream

Yesterday I went out to dinner with my wife and, while we were talking about various things, she told me a little about her big dream, the one we dream about all the time and want more than anything to achieve, even knowing it would be very difficult. She told me she wanted to be a backpacker, a term we use for people who live traveling. In theory, they don't own a house, they don't have a fixed address, they are nomads of modern life.

I think that's crazy. I can't imagine traveling the world, or even the country, without a fixed place to stay. One of the first problems would be money. Since you live traveling by plane or in one of those "motorhomes" and need money, what would you do? It's something I have no idea about. Well, that's a brief introduction, because I also mentioned my dream, which would be to live doing something related to video games, whether as a competitor, streamer, or game developer.

The competitive gaming part is kind of over; I consider that I would never join a team to compete in championships and things like that, so that leaves being a streamer, the way I tried when the Twitch TV craze hit Brazil. It's crazy, I never thought I'd get so close to achieving what I've always loved, which was playing games, but unfortunately, life is one thing and dreams are another. Family, money, time, all of that works against you, and unfortunately, when you don't have money to spare or people to support you, realizing a dream becomes much more complex.

So, I waited years and years, and the AI ​​era finally arrived. Now, as a last gasp of a chance, I'm experiencing something magical with Hive Grove, and it's something that's getting very close to my biggest and most hidden dream. I know things are still difficult and that maybe all this won't last much longer, but I understand that I'm also prepared. If the hype ends tomorrow, or in a week, a month, or a year, that's okay; the time I've lived here has been wonderful, and the overall result will certainly be positive.

My biggest dream is to develop games, live the games, play the game, create something or be part of something incredible, and of course, make money from it. I don't need to become a millionaire, but I just want to have enough to live well, pay my bills, and offer something nice to my family. Balancing dreams and fun with earning money to live is certainly the dream of many people, as it is my dream too. Leisure and work can coexist, and sometimes I wonder: is this my moment?

Ontem saí com a minha esposa para um jantar e, nós conversando sobre vários assuntos, ela me disse um pouco sobre o seu grande sonho, aquele que a gente sonha o tempo todo e deseja mais que tudo realizar, mesmo sabendo que seria muito difícil de realizar. Ela me falou que queria ser mochileira, sendo um termo que utilizamos para as pessoas que vivem viajando. Na teoria, elas não têm casa própria, não têm um ponto fixo, são nômades da vida moderna.

Acho isso uma loucura. Não me vejo viajando pelo mundo ou pelo país, que seja, sem um lugar fixo para ficar. Um dos primeiros problemas seria o dinheiro. Como você vive viajando de avião ou em um daqueles “motorhomes” e precisa de dinheiro, o que você faria? É algo que não faço ideia. Bem, essa é uma breve introdução, pois eu também comentei sobre o meu sonho, que seria viver com algo relacionado a jogos eletrônicos, seja como um competidor, streamer ou um desenvolvedor de jogos.

A parte de jogar competitivamente já meio que passou; considero que eu nunca entraria em alguma equipe para disputar campeonatos e coisas do tipo, então sobra ser streamer, da forma como tentei quando a febre do Twitch TV chegou ao Brasil. Que loucura, nunca vi passar tão perto uma possibilidade de realizar o que sempre gostei, que era de jogar, mas infelizmente, a vida é uma coisa e os sonhos são outros. Família, dinheiro, tempo, tudo isso joga contra e, infelizmente, quando você não tem grana sobrando ou pessoas que te apoiem, realizar um sonho fica muito mais complexo.

Então, esperei anos e anos, e a era das IAs finalmente chegou. Agora, como um último suspiro de chance, estou vivendo algo mágico com o Hive Grove e isso é algo que está chegando bem perto do meu maior e mais oculto sonho. Sei que as coisas ainda continuam difíceis e que talvez nem dure muito tudo isso, mas entendo que também estou preparado. Se o hype acabar amanhã ou daqui a 1 semana, 1 mês ou 1 ano, tudo bem; o momento que vivi aqui foi maravilhoso e o saldo com certeza será positivo.

Meu grande sonho é desenvolver jogos, viver os jogos, jogar o jogo, criar algo ou fazer parte de algo que seja incrível e, claro, ganhar dinheiro com isso. Não preciso ficar milionário com isso, mas só quero ter o suficiente para viver bem, pagar minhas contas e oferecer algo legal para a minha família. Equilibrar o sonho e a diversão com o ganho de recursos financeiros para viver, com certeza, é o sonho de muitas pessoas, assim como é o meu sonho também. Lazer e trabalho podem conviver juntos e, às vezes, fico pensando: será que esse é o meu momento?
