Maybe That Dream Was Not Just a Dream

A lot of people don't believe that dreams we see most times when we are sleeping are deeper revelations from God. The common belief by some people around me is that dreams are mostly what you think about before going to bed.

Some believe that it's because you are having a fever, and that's why you dream whatever it is. Well, I wouldn't dispute the fact that sometimes we dream about what we are thinking about or what we did before bed, but it's not always the case. I have read scriptures enough to see where God said he would show us visions through dreams.

I know God speaks to us in different ways, and dreams are one of the ways. Maybe it is because of my understanding of the Scripture that made me have different perspectives about dreams, but personally, I believe that dreams are revelations in most cases, and that's why I don't joke with my dreams. I also feel bad whenever I dream and forget it after waking up because I know it could be a message God wants me to be aware of and pray over or act on.

I have had dreams that became lifesavers after I took actions ahead of time, but then, what made me talk about dreams today was my experience yesterday in our women's program.

In the program, one of us told us that she delivered her baby through a C-section and was too weak to bath her baby the next day. She was sleeping on the hospital bed that morning and had a dream where a particular nurse came with a bowl and other bathing materials to bath her baby; she did, and after that, her baby died in that dream. She woke up immediately and saw the same nurse physically with bathing materials ready to bath her baby, but due to that dream, she declined immediately. The nurse had to switch to another mom who didn't decline the morning bathing services. Unfortunately, that same baby the nurse bathed died that same day in the hospital just like it happened in that dream.

You see the power of dreams, right? I mentioned that dreams are revelations most times and shouldn't be ignored; better to be safe than sorry. Imagine if the woman didn't see such a dream and took action, maybe her child would have been the victim.

What do you think about dreams ?
