Leadership Is Not Just About Position, but Service
What a day indeed! Initially, I was reluctant to join the women's organization at my church, but I felt compelled to do so. It's been three years since my journey with the women's organization, and today, I can look back and say, "Yes, glad I joined.
In it we make friends, socialize, and learn a lot. What surprised me in April of this year was that I was nominated to become one of the executives in our organization. I said no many times, but the women kept nominating me for the different positions. At the end of the day, I accepted to go for a pro officer with the hope that it wouldn't be a hectic job. So far, it's been teamwork among executives and a lot of time, I see myself working as a financial secretary just to see that things are going on well, all to the glory of God.
Today, we hosted the whole of Epe Deneary in our parish for an event. During the program, an election was conducted so as to replace the old executive in the deneary level, as they have worked for 5 good years. It was a successful election but then, what struck me most was the many commendations from the outgoing deneary coordinator. A lot of reviews about her were super positive. How organized, dedicated, disciplined, and humble the woman is, working tirelessly across different parishes to see that CWO as a body stand her ground in the Catholic church.
A lot of awards were given to her, and I was in awe of such a show of love for her. If her fellow excos could recognize the great work she did during her tenure and decide to make a portrait of her with other gifts as a thank you for a job well done, how much more will God in heaven reward her?🤔
One thing I am sure of is that God will always reward those that diligently seek and serve him. So in our little way, let's be encouraged to always render services to God and mankind. God sees it and will always reward you in areas you can't think of or imagine.
