Women are getting privilege because government want to protect their investment. It's not about fair,unfair or discrimination.

At the present time, we're trying to establish a world of equality: neither males nor females will get any extra advantage because of their gender; there will be no discrimination, and everyone will be equal in rights. Many women complain that they are not receiving equal treatment and it's not fair; such kind of things actually happen in non-government companies. Many companies do not hire female employees because of bound to give them some extra privileges according to the policy of government.

Most of the non government company try not to hire female employees because they need to pay those employees during the time of pregnancy without working, and those companies consider it as their loss. Besides that, there are some other facilities they need to provide to female employees. And that's the reason many companies don't want female employees. Some male employees also complain about why females or women are getting extra privileges in the workplace. Why is the government showing leniency towards them and giving extra facilities? Is it unfair?

I believe that it's not something related to fair or unfair. It's directly related to investment and to understand it at least you have to understand investment. Let me explain a little. Suppose you made an investment in a project and your investment is huge. If there is any chance you may suffer a loss in the project or your investment is completely going to be wiped out, would you invest a little more? Won't you invest a little more to save your whole project and bring out the potential of the project and profit from it? I think smart or wise investors won't hesitate to do so because they think about long-term, and for that they will go for it.

Our government also invests a lot behind every female person or woman. To make a woman educated and make them capable and convert them into an asset of the country is not an easy thing. Nurturing those female talents is quite difficult compared to male people. It's because women need to face various kinds of obstacles like societal pressure, family pressure, and so many other things, and there is much resistance to their education and to continuing their journey. They can easily stop in the middle for various reasons. Instead of it some of them can overcome all of those things and can enter the world of the workplace, where they are also selected based on their ability. It’s proven that they are not less capable than the male candidates and deserve equal treatment in the workplace.

But pregnancy and other issues are quite sensitive, and many women later give a full stop to their career and focus on family only. Focusing on family is not bad thing but most of the time their talent and ability go to waste in such a case. Ending their career doesn’t mean that their efforts to reach the position go in vain. It also means all the investment the government to nurture those women directly or indirectly also becomes in vain. Even if the government needs to give them 6 months' salary even without working, the loss is nothing compared to the loss of losing the working women the government invested in for the long term. I think it’s justifiable.
