Good morning hivans, I believe everyone is doing good today. One of the things I have always loved about my department is the practicals we do, it makes me see what I couldn't see in the theory aspects. Doing what you read gives you more confidence that you know what you say.
My partners and I were given a task to do which was finding the bulk density of the soil in our school. It all started with filling the soil with water to reduce the hardness of the soil before using our core to dip in and catch a portion to be used for our test.
At first, we did testing of ph with soil that was air dried and we got our magnificent answers during that test. We tested using potassium chloride and water as the agents of solution. All great things happened during that moment and we continued with finding bulk density.
It was a great moment of learning for me and now that we have our soil in the core, it has been transferred to the oven for baking. We are still awaiting the results which could take some hours if not a day because we are in so many groups working on it.
The love and smile makes it a memorable moment for me. My supervisor is a friendly and jovial person who answers all our questions when we need him.
When having an experiment or a practical, one needs to be attentive and interactive with members in the group and it was what we did to come to the success of our practical.
While taking a bulk density test, the rules need to be followed and the processes need to be in order to avoid wrong result
Experiment is one of the things to keep the brain images open.
