Hola querido hiver.

Continúo con el relato de lo acontecido en las últimas jornadas. Esta vez escribo ya de regreso en mi hogar, con la comodidad del ordenador en lugar del teléfono móvil. Tengo cientos de fotos por revisar y que más adelante darán para publicaciones exhaustivas sobre algunas de las experiencias que te cuento en este de hoy.

Empecé el tercer día con este delicioso desayuno en Swallow Specialty Coffee. Me gustó mucho el ambiente tranquilo y acogedor de esta cafetería y el servicio fue inmejorable. Desde allí acudimos al punto de reunión para caminar juntos hasta el puerto. Antes de llegar al embarcadero me detuve un instante para fotografiar el paseo más conocido de Alicante.

Esta imagen de @ninaeatshere resume bien cómo nos sentíamos durante el viaje, emocionados por estar navegando y disfrutando de unas vistas fascinantes. El viento amortiguaba como podía el ruido del motor de la embarcación y nuestra emoción por navegar hizo que el viaje de una hora se pasara volando.

Hivers desembarcando en la isla de Tabarca, pendientes de documentar lo que sus ojos estaban viendo. Lo primero que hicimos fue comer en el restaurante donde habíamos reservado y después nos divertimos mucho con un juego de Trivial organizado por @ninaeatshere.

Este fue mi equipo, quedamos los terceros, ¡medalla de bronce! Fue fácil de conseguir... ya que solo había tres grupos. 🤣 Lo importante es que nos echamos unas risas y aprendimos cosas nuevas. Después de esto había programado un visionado de un audiovisual en el Museo Nueva Tabarca, pero la responsable de atendernos no se presentó. 🤷‍♀ De ese modo tuvimos más tiempo para participar en la siguiente actividad, el paseo dedicado a la iniciativa @cleanplanet

Hice equipo con @ratona y la verdad es que no fue una tarea fácil encontrar basura. Nos sorprendió lo limpio que estaba la isla para ser un lugar que se dedica al turismo de forma prácticamente exclusiva y por el que pasamos tantas personas a diario.

Los nuevos miembros de Hive @gissse y @juanmatrader con su encantadora sobrina probaron suerte en la zona de la playa. A juzgar por el volumen de su bolsa tuvieron más suerte que nosotras.

Instintivamente nos fuimos agrupando y terminamos formando una pequeña brigada de limpieza. Mientras dábamos un paseo un sendero natural al que dedicaré un post continuamos recogiendo aquí y allá, sobre todo colillas de cigarrillos y pedazos de plásticos.

A mitad de tarde volvimos a embarcar de regreso a Alicante, donde un rato después quedamos para cenar en La Mala Buena. Fuimos allí a propuesta de @godfish y me gustó un montón. Los chicos que lo llevan nos atendieron de maravilla, las empanadas que tomé estaban muy ricas y fue un broche de oro perfecto para un día intenso entre navegar, compartir momentos divertidos y caminar en un paraje de ensueño al que ya quiero regresar.

Hi, dear hiver.

I’ll continue with my account of what’s happened over the last few days. This time I’m writing from home, with the convenience of my computer rather than my mobile phone. I have hundreds of photos to go through, which will later form the basis for detailed posts about some of the experiences I’m telling you about today.

I started the third day with this delicious breakfast at Swallow Specialty Coffee. I really liked the quiet, cosy atmosphere of this café and the service was unbeatable. From there we headed to the meeting point to walk together to the harbour. Before reaching the jetty, I stopped for a moment to take a photo of Alicante’s most famous promenade.

This image by @ninaeatshere sums up perfectly how we felt during the trip: thrilled to be out on the water and enjoying some stunning views. The wind did its best to muffle the sound of the boat’s engine, and our excitement at being out on the water meant the hour-long trip flew by.

Hivers disembarking on the island of Tabarca, eager to document what their eyes were seeing. The first thing we did was eat at the restaurant where we’d booked a table, and afterwards we had great fun playing a Trivia game organised by @ninaeatshere.

This was my team; we came third – bronze medal! It was easy to achieve... as there were only three teams. 🤣 The important thing is that we had a laugh and learnt new things. After this, we’d arranged to watch a video at the Nueva Tabarca Museum, but the person in charge of showing us round didn’t turn up. 🤷‍♀ That meant we had more time to take part in the next activity, the walk dedicated to the @cleanplanet initiative.

I teamed up with @ratona and, to be honest, it wasn’t easy to find any rubbish. We were surprised at how clean the island was, considering it’s a place dedicated almost exclusively to tourism and visited by so many people every day.

New Hive members @gissse and @juanmatrader, along with their charming niece, tried their luck on the beach. Judging by the size of their bag, they were luckier than us.

Instinctively, we started to gather together and ended up forming a small clean-up crew. Whilst we were walking along a nature trail – which I’ll be writing a post about – we kept picking up litter here and there, mainly cigarette butts and bits of plastic.

In the late afternoon, we boarded the ferry back to Alicante, where a little later we met up for dinner at La Mala Buena. We went there on @godfish’s recommendation and I loved it. The lads who run the place looked after us brilliantly, the empanadas I had were delicious, and it was the perfect finishing touch to a busy day of sailing, sharing fun moments and walking in a dreamlike setting that I already want to return to.
