@achimmertens, a member of the Steem/Hive community since 2018, discussed his involvement in blockchain activities and a specific project he developed. Initially drawn to the community through connections in Uganda, @achimmertens helped build a small community there before shifting his focus to the technical aspects of blockchain. He has been learning programming and exploring AI integration in blockchain.

Achim introduced his project @advertisingbot2 which aims to facilitate decentralized advertising. This bot creates small contests where participants can earn money by including specific advertisement text in their posts, promoting a grassroots approach to advertising. Participants write posts with dictated advertising lines to earn small rewards, with Achim sponsoring these contests by offering modest amounts of Hive tokens as prizes. The project uses automated scripts to verify participation and generate reports.

Achim also highlighted the need for a more decentralized job board within the Hive community to facilitate job offerings and requests. He aims to showcase the core capability of Web3 platforms to create and distribute jobs and advertisements. Looking ahead, Achim expressed his desire to scale the project and integrate it more deeply within the Hive community, discussing potential collaborations and expanding the concept to include more structured job offerings.
