Greetings, dear friends of Hive Blockchain
! I hope you all are doing well and feeling healthy. I am also good and enjoying my life in my country. It's Monday 20th day of January 2025 here in Pakistan. Today I am going to share my entry for Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge: Support Articles theme Custom Challenges
. I am participating in this challenge after a long time and from now on I will try my best to participate every week. You can also join in this weekly challenge, to know more about how to participate in this challenge visit this link.
This week's theme is to share about how to play a custom challenge gameplay of the splinterlands game. You may have heard about the Ranked battles that earn you rewards but custom challenge seems a hidden feature for most of you. The custom challenge belongs to the unranked battles that you can play and challenge others according to your desires. Unlike ranked battles the Mana and rulesets are random but in the custom challenge, you can customize everything in battles from choosing card levels to rulesets, etc.
The aspects that can be customized while creating a New challenge are as follows;
When creating a custom challenge, you first need to choose an opponent. You need to write the correct username of the player who you want to challenge. To start a challenge simply write the name of the opponent in the field below Oponent.
You can choose from a variety of card sets whether you want to select Gold cards only, Alpha cards only, Modern format, ghost cards, gladiator cards, or All cards. You can choose an option according to your desire but make sure you have those cards in which you want to play a challenge.
When you choose the allowed cards, the next thing to do is to select the summoner level. The summoner level caps are divided into Novice, Adept, intermediate, advanced, and Expert.
Choosing a mana cap is optional but if you want to play a specific mana battle simply write in numbers otherwise you will get random mana in your challenge.
Like the Mana cap, choosing the rulesets is also optional. Leaving the rulesets field empty will generate random rulesets like we are getting rulesets in the ranked battles. If you want to choose specific rulesets in your battles simply write its name in the text field or select from the drop-down menu. You can select a maximum of 6 rulesets in one challenge.
The last step to create a custom challenge is to select Elements that you are specific about. It is also an optional step but splinterlands gives you an open opportunity to customize a challenge according to your needs.
I have already discussed the steps to create a custom challenge but now I will summarize it here. On the main Splinterlands Play page, you can see the Challenge on the right side below the SPS amount, click on it write the name of the player you want to challenge, select other aspects, and send a challenge. If the other player is active he will get a notification and he will have 10 minutes to accept or reject the challenge. You can also directly challenge a player by clicking on his profile on the right side and selecting challenge.
Trying rulesets in challenge mode is fun and amazing. Choosing up to six rulesets will make your challenge more interesting. Playing custom challenges enhances your gameplay skills, and strategies, and prepares you to perform better in the ranked battles.
