My Hive Goals for 2025, My Weekly Update for Sept. 27, 2025
It has been one interesting week in the world of finance. For all of us into cryptocurrency it certainly hasn't treated us very kindly. But as all of us know who have invested in crypto for years, there are ups and downs. Hopefully, this down doesn't go too much farther. However, for those of us who also enjoy investing in gold and silver, it has been a stellar week indeed!
Today instead of using a custom banner that I generate with AI, I decided to go with an awesome coin I found for sale over on APMEX.com. I am posting in the Italian community today so this is a perfect fit. It's an Italian Gold Ducato from between 1539-1545 and produced in Venice. Talk about cool!

This is a graded coin at MS-64 by NGC, for those unfamiliar with coin grading that means a coin in mint state that grades 64 out of 70 total points. NGC is the Numismatic Guaranty Company and is one of the major coin grading services available. Only two coins have been graded at this level by NGC so it's a very rare one, but it's expensive at $2,529 for only 0.111 Troy ounces of gold. It would be owning a piece history at almost 500 years old!
Outside my current budget sadly! Gold has been on serious tear and is currently at $3, 758 per Troy ounce. Just look at the chart over the last year alone!

The precious metals are a very hot market as they are viewed as stable assets in a tumultuous world. China and Russia have been both buying up gold and silver much more than normal and fears of World War 3 are brewing in Europe. Things will likely continue upward very quickly and is a great investment, in my non-professional opinion of course.
I have invested in precious metals since I was young and continue to purchase them when I'm able. Something I've passed down to my son as well, it's a great way to build personal and family wealth over generations!
Now for some Hive goals, I'll skip the overall crypto markets since they kind of suck...
Hive Power
My primary goal of the year was to reach 10,000 HP which I already surpassed and currently have 11,129 HP. That up 151 HP on the week and headed towards 13K as the new goal! Now for some math, there are 14 weeks left in the year and I need to increase my HP by 1,871. That brings me to 133 Hive weekly, so I have to be very consistent with my posting and with any luck have a few posts that end up paying well. But I think it's achievable!

New Goal: 13,000 HP
My Hive second level tokens goals have been trimmed back quite a bit this past few months... There are some I'm still investing in, but I have slowed down my overall investment somewhat for the time being. Here are some that I am still stacking though!
PIMP
My secondary goal of the year was to reach 50,000 PIMP, which I did some time ago. I'm earning from liquidity pools and from staked tokens. Additionally it does pay out liquid Hive dividends daily once you have enough staked. It's a great project!
PIMP: 60,757 (122% complete)
Goal: 50,000
This is the only token on Hive that is backed by physical silver bars and BTC, so it will always have value.
LEO
Those who have followed me for awhile know I liquidating my LEO stake for some badly needed cash to help cover some out of pocket medical expenses. LEO has been doing very well and is around $0.12, down from $0.25 earlier this year but still pretty good. I'm delegating some HP to earn more LEO daily, and considering my future moves still. No hard decision made quite yet!
PIZZA
I reached my goal on this token but I am working towards getting up to 10K tokens next. Prices are up at the moment so I may wait until they cool off to purchase more. It offers a great APR which I do enjoy!

DUO
Coming up on a year ago now, I started a token project with @bulliontools and @bitcoinman called DUO token. If you stake 200 DUO you receive daily Hive dividends and a curation on your quality posts once a day. For those who stake 500 or more you are able to tip someone else's post with some DUO, in return you receive the same amount of the tip in your account as well. The more DUO you stake, the higher your daily dividends.
I met my goal here but still buying to add to my stack.
My current holdings: 2,762 (138.2% complete)
Goal: 2,000
We've added a new exciting feature to DUO, at the request of token holders we have added some token burning. All DUO tips to the @duo-curator account are periodically unstaked and sent to the null account. A chunk of my 28.5k HP was a swap of Dogecoin for Hive granted to me by the Crypto gods.
Not much change. I can only be up and about for a limited amount of time before feeling not well forcing me to take a rest. It slows me down. It's taking me longer time to read, reply, curate on Hive. Have to keep typing or I lose it.

Precious metals have done well, and overall crypto has still done well this year. It is Rektember after all so no worries about this bloodbath we are seeing this week.

Precious metals are looking like a great place to invest for the foreseeable future as well. Hopefully things in the world will turn around and start to settle down, but they rarely do. Human nature can be so innately greedy and violent in some cases, you've seen it just as well as have I over the years. I still remember after a hurricane in the Caribbean a guy got shot over a bag of ice because there was no power. Talk about insanity!

I think we'll see bitcoin rise soon. With all the troubles happening, it's think we could see gold explode as well.

I'm hoping we'll see BTC recover shortly because it is dragging Hive down significantly... Gold and silver are both set to keep on rising, the question is until when? We'll all find out eventually, but I'm enjoying the ride for the time being!

It should be very interesting! Hopefully we will see some returns to higher levels, Hive is dragging behind already and I would hate to see it go much lower. Gold and silver are a lot of fun right now! Right now one gram of silver is worth $1.48, isn't that insane? Soon all we'll be able to afford are one gram silver bars! lol

Thank you so much! The best way in Venezuela might be the silver coins they used to produce there, although they might be expensive with the inflation going on there. I wish I could afford that cool coin from Venice, Italy, but it's outside of my budget...
