As I suspect. However, there are two teams available as I start. Do I need to use the same name or two names? I thought there would be coach and player cards once you buy a fanchise license. I don't see any. Do I need to buy those cards on the market before I can play?

It has been a long time since I created my two teams....
You can play with one team or two, I always played with two and put different names to the two teams.
Each team needs:
1 coach
2 defenders
2 midfielders
2 strikers
I don't remember if subs are mandatory or not, in which case you need 5 more cards
Reserves are not strictly necessary but they increase team morale.

Game rewards also depend on the staked GLXs you have
The game at the moment is not fun and I only use it to earn some GLX hoping that the next version will be better and very different from the current one. If you want to try the game buy the bare minimum because right now there are games that have much more potential (my personal opinion) ;)
