Ulfga the Blighted, the New Voucher Card

Two days ago, Splinterlands announced a New Voucher Card , Ulfga the Blighted. It is a legendary card from the Dragon deck and was released yesterday, December 10th.

As it is a legendary card, it has 4 levels and to get it to the maximum level you will need 11 regular cards or 4 Gold Foil cards.

There are only 2 ways to get this card currently. The first is by buying it in the Splinterlands Exclusive Shop, each Ulfga the Blighted costs 1500 Vouchers and for each card purchased you have a 4% chance of earning a Gold Foil, with a guaranteed Gold Foil if you buy 25 cards in a single transaction.

The second way is to buy it from other players in the Splinterlands Market, the lowest price for it is $16.69.

1500 Vouchers are costing $21.03 so it's more worthwhile to buy from other players on the market unless your intention is to buy 25 cards in a single transaction to get a Gold Foil, since the Gold Foil version of Ulfga the Blighted is being traded for $188.88.

Let's talk about the card's uses and in the case of Ulfga the Blighted, it's its abilities.

Its first ability is Untrainable and just like the name says, Ulfga the Blighted is a card that cannot be trained so it will remain with 0 attack forever.

Its second ability is Slow and with this ability all of your opponent's monsters will have their speed decreased by -1 while Ulfga the Blighted is in battle.

His third ability is Posion Burst and with this ability Ulfga the Blighted will have a 100% chance to poison the monster that defeated him and will also have a 50% chance to poison the monsters adjacent to the monster that defeated Ulfga the Blighted.

His fourth ability is Weaken and with this ability all of his opponent's monsters will have their life reduced by -1 while Ulfga the Blighted is in battle.

His fifth ability is Rebirth and with this ability Ulfga the Blighted will be able to resurrect once in battle, but he will return with only 1 life.

The strategy for Ulfga the Blighted is to try to poison as many of his opponent's monsters as possible, but this will depend on luck because the same monster can defeat him twice and also only has a 50% chance of poisoning adjacent monsters.

To be honest, I didn't think Ulfga the Blighted was a very good card because its function will be to be defeated in order to poison the enemy and with that, the Slow and Weaken abilities will be lost quickly during the battle. In addition, not being able to be trained gives it a big disadvantage and I think this ability wouldn't be necessary unless it was an extremely strong monster with abilities, but in my opinion, Ulfga the Blighted is not that kind of monster, but that's just my opinion and I'm still learning about the game so I could be completely wrong and Ulfga the Blighted could be an incredible monster.

A benefit of Ulfga the Blighted that I forgot to mention is that it is a Promo card and this means that you get +10% gains in ranked battles when you use it.
