The Power of Bloodlust

(edited)

Ever since I got my first Gladiator cards, my life in Brawls has become much easier and despite having few because I could only buy a few Gladius Cases, I got the incredible Trapp Falloway card, an epic card with a huge melee attack.

Trapp Falloway has a low mana cost and a huge melee attack as I mentioned before, in addition to that he also has up to 4 abilities: Weaken, Bloodlust, Halving and True Strike.

The Weaken ability makes the monster reduce the opponent's monsters' life by -1.

The Bloodlust ability grants +1 to all Stats when the monster that has it makes the final attack on the enemy monster.

The Halving ability makes the monster that has it reduce the attack by -50% when it hits the enemy monster.

The True Strike ability makes the monster that has it have a 100% chance of hitting the attack.

This is a great combination of strategies, especially True Strike with Halving, since the monster will have a 100% chance of hitting the attack and reducing the enemy monster's attack by -50%. However, although these two abilities are great, the main one is Bloodlust, because it can make Trapp Falloway an even more powerful and limitless card.

In my last Brawl, I had the opportunity to use Trapp Falloway in my battle, and until that day I had no idea how powerful the Bloodlust ability is. Now I understand why initially the Gladiator cards were only used in Brawls, because if they were used in ranked battles, they would give a very unfair advantage to players who did not participate in Brawls or who were new to the game. They are still a great choice today, but Splinterlands has greatly increased the variety of cards since I used to play, so there are many cards that can compete or even be better than the Gladiator cards.

See the Battle

In this battle, Trapp Falloway was my trump card since my opponent's monsters had little health, so with each attack from Trapp Falloway he defeated 1 of my opponent's monsters and activated the ability Bloodlust, causing him to increase his attack, speed and health by +1.

Although Trapp Falloway is powerful, he cannot attack in any position, only in the first position, but because there is the Equal Opportunity rule in the battle, I had the chance to use him and this rule is perfect for him since in addition to making him attack in any position, he will also target the monster with the lowest health and this makes it much easier for the ability Bloodlust to be activated.

In the battle, Trapp Falloway managed to defeat 3 monsters and ended the battle with 7 health, 7 speed and 7 health. These stats are scary because in addition to having a terrifying attack, he also has a lot of speed, which increases his chances of attacking first and also of dodging the enemy's attacks.

Even with few Gladiator cards, I already notice the difference it makes in battles and I can't wait to get more and test new strategies.
