RE: Peakd Adds KE Indicator To User Profile (ENG/ITA)

(edited)

Your answer helped me a little - or maybe it is the Gin !LOL ... Or both... You too! In every case thank you for expanding my view! Thank you for that my bro.

@powerpaul thank you really for your comment and for expressing your opinion sincerely. I love the confrontation between different opinions and often it is from confrontation that the best solutions are created.

Just to share with you more of my personal thoughts about KE.

Behind every project, behind every game, there is work, time, resources. It is absolutely right that there are power downs.

A project has value for what it offers to those who use it and cannot be evaluated for KE, on this point I think no one with many HPs makes that evaluation.

Even a personal account that posts and interacts, and perhaps needs those funds to live on, has nothing to justify.
Using Hive to buy daily bread is revolutionary and that is one of the reasons why Hive is useful and it is also one of the many reasons why I love Hive.

It is also true in my opinion that if an account lives thanks of Hive, then I think that giving something back to the chain, in the form of interaction, involvement, or propensity to stake, is a nice sign of gratitude.

I have a KE < 1 but I may find myself in the future doing power downs and I see nothing wrong with doing that.

To date I have never heard anyone say that a KE = 1 indicates good hivers because only a few users have a KE<1 and because power down is a feature of Hive and because on Hive everyone is free to do what they want with their tokens and the propensity for staking along with interaction, content of posts are important elements to grow velocity as author and curator.

In my opinion, it's just my personal opinion, those who are just an author on Hive (they don't do anything else) should have a KE < 3 but this is not an obligation but an advice I often give to new users who want to grow quickly on Hive.

Consider that a KE = 3 means that those who earned 900 HIVE kept 300 that is 1/3 of what they earned. Honestly I don't see this as such a high constraint for those who want to support the ecosystem and publish only.

This is to tell you that more than KE matters the context in which KE is only one of many elements to consider.

For example there are users with KE < 1 that I do not follow and support but there are accounts with KE > 5 that I support because they have given Hive more in other ways.

Obviously a user who only writes low effort posts, does not interact, has KE = 20 is totally identified by KE and only in this case KE defines him.

Your answer helped me a little - or maybe it is the Gin !LOL ... Or both... You too! In every case thank you for expanding my view! Thank you for that my bro.

Liberty, thank you again for expanding the scene ofr me and other readers. It is interesting to read and I can't disagree with anything. Nja, in every case I have to live with it - but I am already thinking about how to organize value to power them up and latly to push my KE up... looks like it is an ego topic too for me... !LOL Nja... however... "it is".

Liberty, Hive a great day & thank you once again! I wish you a great day!

I didn't sign up for the company 401k.
I don't think I can run that far.
