Splinterlands: Card Upgrades and Season Roundup
Yesterday, another season came to an end. Oddly, I started with bronze and had no idea how it would affect my earning campaign. Of course, I earned far fewer SPS, but I discovered that I still met my glint target for the season; in fact, I exceeded both my target and expectations.
I had to grind my way from bronze 3 to gold 3, and instead of my 45k Glint goal for the season, I finished with 53k, indicating that I performed better than expected. My SPS earnings for the season have been boosted primarily by my Guild EMP warden, but I still average around 0.7 SPS per win in ranked battles.
This is a small amount, but I am glad that my cards are mostly useful in assisting myself and my Guild in earning some decent rewards.
MY EPIC SET
It is been a good season, and I managed to earn another GF EPIC card. I got two GF epics from the first four openings the previous two seasons, and I got one from the first six this season. Not bad at all. This is the third GF epic that I will be having. I have one GF shock trooper, a Night Reaper, and a Thanalorian Blade.
Personally, I am not sure if I should just burn it and buy more epics, or keep them as a trophy. I still have not decided what to do. I do not play Survival Mode, so having them would have been extremely useful.
I am not sure if I will be able to max them out, but I think I will just wait a month or so, then buy more EPIC, and if I am lucky enough to pull more GF, I will be closer to maxing them out; however, getting GF is rare and difficult, and you will need a deeper pocket to do so.
However, if I decided to forego one season's glint earnings in order to purchase only EPICS, I believe I would be fortunate to obtain more GF EPICs. It means I can earn more SPS by deploying GF, but it will take time because I do not earn enough Glint.
Finally, my Olivia has reached level 3 and now carries a shield
I believe this means I can now play it when the Ruleset only allows for the deployment of shield-based cards. Unfortunately, my KHAZI is still at level 1. Khazi has to be the rarest EPIC card in this set; I do not know of anyone else.
MY RARE SET
My rare sets are not moving as much because I have been allocating funds (glints) to common and EPIC sets. I do not have any regrets. After my upgrades this week, I do not think I raised any of their levels.
I still have the majority of them at levels five and six, and none at level seven. However, if I spend more glints, I will have at least two or three of them level seven by the end of the season.
COMMON SET
As for commons, I have the majority of them at level 7, with a few at level six, but we all know that most common cards get cooler when they reach level ten, when they get the coolest set of abilities, but I am not worried; they are all coming along nicely. They are the cheapest to upgrade.
I wish we could have a metric that tells us how much glint is required to max each specific type of card and their rarity.
Gladiator Cards with new abilities
My Gladius opening means I get to upgrade two gladiator cards and unlock two useful abilities.
My Quora now has a immunity ability, which is extremely useful in poison rulesets and such. It has been a long time coming. The strange thing is that I received four Quoras within less than two months of opening the Gladius pack.
Previously, it could take up to three months to get one, and finally, having immunity on Quora is a win.
My Liza fox now has the stun ability, which is one of my favorites. I mostly use it to render my opponent powerless; I do not have many cards with this ability, so I appreciate having it on a range card. It would have been better if it was a magic card, but who cares.
Earlier this week, I purchased one BCX of Kelan Gaines with a 100 voucher
I was disappointed because I expected to have more vouchers after playing for so long. Although I did sell some vouchers at one point, that was over a year ago. The Kelan feels useless at level one, and I have not used it since I bought it, but I believe it is still a card that adds depth to your squad, and you never know when you will use it.

That level 3 Quora is a huge gamechanger! It makes winning much easier in more rulesets. Then Olivia to level 3 as well is nice, you are getting there with the new rewards cards.
I was playing Modern until rental prices went insane, right now I'm back down to brawls and that's about it. It's not worth the investment right now to put more into Splinterlands for me personally. With the rental prices skyrocketing fewer people are playing, it may actually kill the game...
I think the only aspect of splinterlands that's decent in terms of earning back ROI on your cards id through brawl. Unfortunately brawl doesn't take place as often, so it's impossible to fund and get wild pass. However, my Guild recently upgraded and we earned like 71 SPS in the last Guild. I'm only playing because it's just fun and takes away stress. My main vwtcs are not worth that much anyways.
Nice end to the season, and nice card pulls. It depends on what you want for the cards. If you are satisfied with the card levels, then you can move on to a different rarity.
Nice gladiator upgrades. Immunity is great on Quora as it stops poison and cripple from hurting it.
You're right, I guess I can choose whatever rarity I want to upgrade and that's the best part. I think my most useful update is the Quora and I think I'm going to be taking advantage of it.
It’s awesome reading through your post about your gaming on splinterlands. From what you stated earlier it’s obvious you made a great stride to even over achieve your target. I have heard so much about splinterland games, am not so much of a gamer, hahaha, did I say not so much, am not even a gamer at all.

For me it's their outfits and the cool powers haha. Upgrading the gladiator cards is good regardless of strategy especially Quora with immunity.With the hard rulesets it'll help alot. With more upgrades come easier wins lol
Yeah, you'll win more games the more your cards are upgraded. That's my biggest upgrade in a very long time.

It's interesting that you made more Glint than usually while starting from Bronze. I assume it might have something to do with win streaks, otherwise, it wouldn't make much sense to me.
Yeah, perhaps it was the win streak, it didn't make sense that I was earning almost nothing while playing in bronze 3, more than I would have while starting in silver 2 or one.

Oh you have two accounts? Yeah I'm glad to get the Quora to level 3, I've always been at a disadvantage with it on level 2
