Powering Up 985 LEO and Reaching Newborn Cub Rank

In the last few days and weeks, Hive has fluctuated a lot in value and the cryptocurrency market trend currently seems to be upward, so I decided to change my plans a little for LEO and buy the amount I wanted as soon as possible because I am optimistic and believe that the price will increase even more soon.

My goal by the end of the year was to reach 2000 LEO and my initial plan was to wait for the December LPUD to reach this goal. I was going to combine the LEO I earn from my posts plus the ones I earn from my curation and buy the rest on the market to stake on December 15th, but since the price is fluctuating a lot and if I had bought last week I would have saved $0.01 per LEO, I prefer not to risk having to pay more waiting so I decide to reach my goal today and buy the remaining LEO on the market to stake. As for the December LPUD, I just need to do it with a smaller amount of LEO.

Another advantage I will have by buying LEO this month is that I will reach the Newborn Cub rank and this means that I will have the chance to earn +2 votes from the @leo.voter account per month, since the month is almost over this means that I can still earn votes this month before resetting next month and 2 more votes will help me a lot to get my ROI faster, this is an advantage that I would not have if I had to wait until December to stake my LEO.

For those who do not know, Leo has a curation program based on your LEO stake and this means that you can earn votes from the @leo.voter account in a certain amount per month depending on how many LEO you have staked.

I currently have 1020 LEO staked, so I need to buy another 980 LEO to reach my goal, but since I have a bit more Hive left, I decided to buy 985 LEO and stake them all to finally reach my goal and also the Newborn Cub rank I mentioned earlier.

To buy the remaining LEO, I went to Beeswap and paid 223.59 Swap.Hive for 985 LEO. The price is higher than what I would have paid if I had bought last week, but if I can get 2 more votes before the month ends then my loss will be smaller and I'm watching the price of Hive as I write this post and it seems like it's going up again, so maybe there will be another price spike tonight and if there is then I'll be glad I bought the LEO before that happened.

Now I have 2005 LEO staked and I am officially a Newborn Cub and can earn up to 4 votes per month.

This is a great benefit for those who post on Hive because they will get their ROI with LEO faster and if I am right about the crypto bull market and the price of LEO increases even more then I will make a good profit, and with Hive increasing in price this also means more votes.
