Turn your wounds into wisdom

When your heart breaks, let it break,
Don't try to resist the shattering pieces.
It is from the abyss of burning misery,
Greatness emerges as a phoenix from the ashes.

We all have a past, a time filled with bitterness, regrets, or pain. At one point we felt shattered, like everything we've built over the years suddenly crumbled before our eyes. All we held was the wound, the pain, and betrayal, but forgot to embrace the wisdom that dropped like a honeycomb from the piece that splashed over our heart. Wounds healed with scars to remain a reminder of the wisdom we once learned.

Wear your wounds like a crown. They shouldn't eat us up like cankerworms, rather they should be a sign of gallantry, survival, wisdom, and a better version of us. I have learned more through my wounds than I have learned with no scars. With every scar is a lesson learned, and a wisdom gain. Our heart can break once, but in our healing, let the real us shine forth.

Life's way of teaching is through pain, bitterness, and sorrow. These come shortly after the days when we feel safe and at peace. It comes to teach us that joy doesn't last forever, season changes. It teaches us strength, endurance and survival. With wounds comes strength, with every scar comes the ability to survive. Turn your wounds into wisdom. Break if you feel like breaking, cry if you feel like crying, but in the end turn every drop of tears you once shed to wisdom, and let your scars be a reminder of all you've learned.
