The Salary they pay

A friend of mine reached out to me today, and he said he’s having a problem with his boss at work. The reason is that the boss has been behaving somewhat, and he doesn’t want to stay in an environment where things are toxic for his aim. So he reached out to his boss and said he wanted to resign, but to his surprise, his boss said he can’t resign because he doesn’t want to lose him now. His boss even proposed that it should increase his salary. He’s what is causing the problem.

According to him, he said he was surprised. He wasn’t expecting his boss to propose a salary increase because this same boss had always been threatening him that if he left the job and another person would get the job but now that he dared to tell him that he was quitting, his boss was trying to raise his salary. It was unusual, but it was something that he wasn’t expecting. My friend even said that anytime he made a mistake in the office his boss normally deducted part of his salary.

Things will change when you start seeing things differently

Some boss will not increase your salary not until they realize that you want to resign and they will make it seems as if you don’t have value or you don’t add any value to their company not until you discover your value or you choose to move on with your life and these when they begin to offer you different salary. Some of them will threaten you so that you can’t leave their job because they know that it will be very difficult for them to replace you.

As long as you don’t know your value people who know your value keep on using you. They will make everything so hard for you and then make sure that you fully depend on them, they will make sure that you don’t get to see what’s going on in our outside world. They will make you think you can not do without them and they keep paying you less for the job that could have paid you more but immediately you realize this and you’re trying to resign they begin to threaten or try to increase your salary just to make you stay.

Learn to negotiate and if you feel that the salary doesn’t match your value you can always move on

You should know that I don’t fully support salary, but I believe that you can build a career starting from salary but we shouldn’t stay on a salary forever, You must look beyond it. You can build a career from any salary and your salary has to be something that reflects your value so that you will not waste your early life just to earn a penny.
