The fate of love

Just like any other day , I set myself into putting in the work in the gym like I always do. Lift weight, go back home, sleep and repeat. But today I had a peculiar plan. A plan I had come up with months beforehand.

I met her at a sunny afternoon. The rays of the sun danced, and the streets were very much alive with merchants and sellers alike. the gym was less busy at this time. Which was just fine with me since I liked a conducive environment.

As I push through another heavy session, gruelling and grunting as I always do, I noticed her right at the edges of the fence overlooking the indoor area I was in. God, was she such a beauty. There and then, my longing for her felt like a needle in my stomach.

For months now I had set my eyes on this girl. Observing her. Not just her hour-glass figure and gorgeous gaze, or simply her flawless charisma and physical endowments, but the way she conversed and related with friends and clients alike. I wanted to know if despite her looks, she was down-to-earth and genuine. I disliked women who were sexually rampant and lacked a sense of self worth and integrity. So I figured taking my shot would be my best bet of getting to know her character.

So without a doubt in mind I approached her. Things stayed short. Small compliments. Questions and some laughs. The type of interaction where you don’t expect much to come out from it. I was pretty surprised at myself to say the least. At the fact that for whatever reason, this girl attracted me so much, I was bold enough to ask for her number. I’ve alway been known as a shy or social awkward boy. But that day things felt different. I wasn’t so sure of what would happen since I had no particular intention in mind. But I promised myself long ago, whatever the case or the outcome was, I would approach her regardless.

Overtime we got to know each other. We went out, gisted, talked about struggles and whatnot. The flirting and giggles felt more natural. I realised that I had never felt such comfort and joy simply talking to someone I had just met. Just listening to her tell me things brought me a sense of peace and happiness. before we knew it, we started our chapter together as a couple. A sudden love story emerging from a totally random interaction. Indeed it was a story to be told.

Life is strange like that. In the most casual circumstances we found ourselves, whether it’s going through our normal day and usual routines or in the middle of a totally random occurrence you never know you’ll meet someone who you’ll hold a special place in your heart for. A loved one.

For me it was her.
