
This report documents the activities, contributions, and progress of our group during our project mandate.
23rd November
As a commencement to our project, our first meeting held in the common room (by 9:30pm) on how to proceed with our project. A recording was made for those who weren’t present
24th November
Mmesoma and Ejiro created a google form revolving around the appeal and opinions of the vendor Grandpas Chips. This for, was distributed amongst platforms to students so we can assess feedback as marketing promoters and strategise what our next move would be.
25th November
Suggestions by group members were made regarding the form and corrections were made to make up for any inaccuracies or mistakes in the google form. After corrections were made, the form was once again disseminated across platforms.
26th November.
Victoria, oyindamola and Faaz had a meeting with the store owner of Grandpa chips (Victor Chukwuwujindu). We informed the owner about our plans and mandate issued by our lecturer and we came to an agreement to further discuss our execution plans with his permit at a later date.
28th November
An extensive interview transcript simplified and created by Faaz was given on our group chat on telegram. The interview outline provided an insight on Grandpa chips business and gave us an idea of how to properly combat its flaws and provide resolutions as marketing/sales promoters.
30th November
Another meeting was held. All members attended. A survey dashboard comprising of customer feedback and responses to Grandpa chips services and food was provided by Victoria. Together the team analysed the database and sought ways to improve and regulate customer satisfaction and expectations and at the same time improve the standards of Grandpa chips holistically.
2nd December
The group leader Victoria provided an execution plan. It was a composition of agreements and analysis made at hour previous meeting. IMC tools were highlighted as the foundational framework in which we’d properly implement our ideas and apply them appropriately.
4th December
A final meeting with us and Mr. Chukwuwujindu was organised before our departure for Christmas holiday in order to present the ideas and concepts developed by our team and gain his approval. The discussion held at the meeting was particularly positive and we decided to execute our plans after resumption as agreed by Mr Chukwuwujindu.
16-17th January
In our meeting organised shortly after resumption concerning our execution plan, we discussed how we’ll navigate ourselves concerning our mandate and apply our efforts accordingly in or order to boost sales and engagement for the vendor “grandpas chips.”
We concluded that one of the main flaws of grandpa chips was his lack of appeal and outreach. As marketing/sales promoters we discussed and introduced methods to counteract this issue. We agreed on the following:
