Living in this world requires sanity, it requires courage and self trust because if you’re a human being who doesn’t relate you can’t understand certain things and as a person that relates you got to be strong and have confidence in yourself.
Even on social media in our world today you have to be calm and sure of yourself and I’m writing on this because of something that has come to my notice of recent on TikTok and I think it’s even worse on twitter so there are different types of content that people create so there’s this well known tikTok celebrity he’s short and kind of looks like a dwarf and he’s not really fine or model standard in one word he’s not good looking and probably because of the way he asks for supporters and fans people started tagging him as a beggar and one thing about social media people is that they follow the crowd , even people that don’t have anything against him we’re all commenting on his posts and criticizing him even people that used to like his videos and all were drifting away because of the mass opinion and this made people making content about him and calling him names like “ labubu “ and shit like that.
If he is not sane or sure of himself he can go into depression and lose face or even begin to underestimate himself but this guy stood strong and still laughed it off apart from this guy there are other content creators and celebrities that have been through a lot from fans although I don’t use twitter but from what I heard these people on twitter though not all but most of them criticize a lot and kill talents, kill dreams and make people to see themselves less. As a graceful young girl growing up I developed some skills and talent which my mother tried to nurture especially the singing because I have passion for singing and dancing, my mother gave it her all she encourages me that I’ll be a beautiful lady with the voice that strikes the world to heart like the flash of an eagle so I had faith in myself and always sang anytime I’m opportune to but soon the dream was killed cuz you know peer pressure can get you thinking differently, after I wrote my entrance examination to secondary school I met new friends new people and new views and perspectives so I decided to sing one particular day snd people were like “awwn she’s talented” but my group of friends were like it’s old school and it doesn’t make sense, some people also joined them and criticized my vocal skills and said I wasn’t good enough and I’m trying to show off and this really got me and gradually I didn’t find pleasure in singing anymore and before I knew it I stopped and the dream died snd today whenever I watched channels like American got talent, DTH and others and I see young people singing and showcasing their talents or even sharing it with the world I just feel like I shouldn’t have given up back then and probably I would be in a better place if I used my talents and never let the echoes of the world drive me away.
