Financial crisis

I have a friend who always messages me on WhatsApp, time that he needs some money. One thing I’ve noticed about my friend is that he’s always in one financial crisis or another other and there will always be something or a problem somewhere he needs money for. Most people don’t always reply to this guy's message because when they see his message they know he is about to beg for money and the funniest part is that it's not as if this guy is not working but he has always been in crisis.

Financial crisis is a major problem here in Nigeria, you see people who are working seven days a week but still find it difficult to take care of themselves just because their expenses are greater than their income, and this is not from the standpoint of a lazy life or spending money on things that they don’t need. It is the standpoint of a bad economy because the naira is so bad that even if you’re in 200,000 and you find it difficult to take care of your family and this is one of the major reasons why people are in financial crisis

The trap

One of the major problems with people in financial crisis is that they believe that they don’t need knowledge that all they have to do is work all day and all night without seeking knowledge that could have helped them make more money and made their life easier each time. When you introduce new ways that you can make money to them and it requires them to learn something I realize that they struggle and even the work that they are doing doesn't permit them to learn new things or see life from a different perspective and this makes them remain in that trap for a long time.

The trap is simple. You continue to focus on working extra hours believing that’s the only way you can solve your problem, leaving no time to learn to reflect on your life. For these, you will be in crisis for years without changes because you’re expenses will always be greater than your income and your crisis will never end. We have different ways of breaking away from a crisis for the first major thing you have to move beyond the work you are doing after all you’ve been doing it for years and still your crisis has no end.

Freedom

If you don’t look beyond your work and you keep on believing that you don’t need knowledge and you don’t have to seek different ways of making money, learn from people that are making more money than you and do same thing that they are doing that is giving them a lot of money, you are likely going to remain the same because what financial crisis do to people is buy all their time and later realize that you they have time for any other thing which makes you work like an elephant to earn peanuts.
