Composure

Composure and steeze they say buys one respect,they say when you’re calm and reserved people will respect your opinions and perspectives,I can’t say these are the requirements of being respected in the society,the strength of a chain is in it’s weakest link.We see things and settle them in our heads in different ways and people can’t imagine or think the same way,I may feel that the way I carry myself is what will earn me respect and someone else would think it’s what they do that buys them respect and all these are just shallow thinking the first thing that will earn you respect is respecting others because if you want to earn respect you have to also give it to someone else,something happened today and it is from it that I got the inspiration to write on this particular topic you’re reading. I attended an after lecture tutorial three days in a week so I went for tutorial today as usual and a particular girl sat at the back and was chatting and laughing with her friend,her seat wasn’t far from mine so I could hear their noise which was disturbing me anyways the lady teaching warned them the first time and told them to pay attention but they didn’t even flinch and from my seat I started at them and they understood what I meant by the stare,the lady had to tell the girl to move forward but she acted like she didn’t hear and she even said it again the girl was laughing and the lady asked if she could do like that to her parents at home,the girl was still smiling and the lady said she should move to the front row or get out of the class and the girl carried her bag and left,this action suprised me and some other students but I just continued my work.The lady who went out wanted to act big in front of her friends and other students and this is applicable to youths of these days they want to act big and they will do things that will rather ridicule them than gain them respect.After the lecture I saw the girl with her clique and she was like she doesn’t give a damn that with what she did,the lady would know that she’s not small and she has pride and I’m like is this pride or ridicule because you already painted a bad image of yourself so where’s the respect coming from .

In our world today,people take certain things serious like steeze and composure there’s a particular guy I know,he will wear nose mask and seat quietly and when he sees people playing or being hyperactive he’ll say they don’t have steeze and I’ll be like is the nose mask what gives you steeze or is the way you act what steeze is all about and there are other people like that who don’t understand the real meaning of steeze,some say once they have money and wear expensive clothes people will respect them but it’s all a lie.

Composure actually means the ability to remain calm and composed in the face of stress,pressure or challenging situations and it also involves controlling your emotions and reactions,staying focused on your goals and being true to yourself.
