There is a popular saying in Nigeria that children bring blessings and to me, It is not true, but it is not completely a lie. Most people have fallen for this trap believing that giving birth to children will bring blessings to their lives and this is where they begin to experience hardship. Bringing children into this world requires a proper plan and if you are the type who doesn’t always have plans for yourself and for the baby. You are most likely to suffer.
Some people believe this saying so much that they do not give birth to one child but multiple children, which leads to their life problems. Problems come in different forms, but financial problems are even more difficult than other problems. If you’re struggling to take care of yourself alone, it is still better, but when it leads to you struggling to take care of your children, you become worse.
Perspective change
There shouldn't be any reason why you get back to children without making plans for them, you have to plan for your unborn child because most people don’t have the luxury to just give birth without a plan. If you are very rich or you are a billionaire, you can give birth to children without planning just because you know that they are going to be fine and there is nothing that they are going to need that you can’t provide, but as long as you are still struggling or you are aiming to go higher in life it’s always good to plan before giving birth.
Giving birth can also be a blessing to us. Especially to people who are not serious and people who don’t have a sense of commitment. When they give birth and they start having responsibilities, their perspective change. They are not only thinking about themselves, they are thinking about two or three people with more responsibilities. This forces them to make better choices, think outside the box, and stop procrastinating.
Unseriousness and struggling
If you are struggling financially, you don’t have anything to do with giving back unless you want to give birth to a child that you won’t be able to care for but if you’re not struggling financially, giving birth to a child that can be a blessing to you because it can help you to be more focused. For people who are not serious It can help you to make the right decision. That popular Nigerian saying doesn’t work for everybody, giving birth to a child is not a miracle or a blessing. It only brings about more responsibility and more burden on your shoulder.
Thanks for your time.
Children are blessings but that doesn’t mean bring all of them so you can have more blessings, lol. Well said.

It's definitely depends on the context. Having a child can change people drastically, sometimes for the better. More clarity on what matters, a sense of purpose and determination to get to their desired destination. I think that's where the blessing really lies but like you've said, this also becomes a burden without any planning in place.
