Splinterlands - Social Media Challenge - A Battle Of Ranged Attack Monsters!!!

Good day everyone, we are fast approaching yet another week and we have Splinterlands First weekly challenge up with Social Media Challenge announced yesterday and here is my response to this week's challenge!!!

As always, I feel a lot better to share some unique battle and feel comfortable explaining about it and this week, I am sharing a battle of ranged attack monsters with Going the Distance rule set on in this battle!!

Let me take you thru this interesting battle.

The battle had 35 MANA cost cap and along with going the distance, we had couple of other rule sets such as silenced summoners and tis but scratches (cripple ability for all monsters).

I normally use the Dragon splinter summoner of Quix The Devious normally as soon as I see the going the distance rule set, but since the summoners are silenced, I directly selected Fire splinter summoner of Tarsa with my lineup of monsters as explained below:

Lineup:

1. Molten Ash Golem:

battle of ranged attacks means, we need monsters which have close range ability and Molten Ash Golem is always my favorite for that matter as it is with good health, has weaken ability to reduce the health by One and has 3 ranged attack for 6 cost!!!

It's I think one of the most used monsters from Fire splinter.

2. Lava Launcher:

Another close range ability monster which has 5 ranged attack and huge armors and is with stun ability.

This will be another most used monsters from Fire splinter because of the huge attack and armors.

3. Pyrewatch Devil:

Pyrewatch Devil is One of those 3 MANA cost monsters yet powerful ones as it is with life leech, dispel and oppress abilities and can be a dangerous customer.

It's 3 ranged attack for 3 MANA cost is an added bonus and it is with good speed of 4 too.

4. Lava Spider:

Another 3 cost monster is the Lava Spider, but the bit different compared to Pyrewatch Devil in the sense, it is a monster with snipe attack ability, targeting Second line monsters and is capable of pouring the poison on the monsters it attacks!!!

Like the above one, it is too with 4 speed, but is with a less ranged attack.

5. Ash Mirage:

Ash Mirage is the monster with headwinds to reduce the ranged attack by 1 from all the opponent's monsters and is with 5 speed, which is incredible and will give 3 ranged attack.

6. Kha'zi COnjurer:

Last on the lineup is the 2 cost Kha'zi Conjurer which is, although 2 cost one, but provides 4 ranged attack at level 3.

The only worrying thing about this monster is the incendiary ability it has, which burns out 2 health at the end of each round. Rest all fine with this.

The battle, as it had Cripple enabled for all, the battle didn't go much longer and ended in Three rounds.

The monsters I used were with gaining health as there was one with life leech ability and there was other which was sacrificing the health with that burning ability. But, overall, the monsters I used were helpful to win this comfortably and I have to mention about the Ash Mirage here which reduced the ranged attack by 1 and that helped to take lesser blows for the monsters I used.

The battles are more competitive these days and the win rate has got reduced considerably for me and this season, I have been battling it out manually in the modern format in quest of earning more Glint, but, I think I have got lesser than last time and with just 2 more days to go for the season to end, I am sure, I won't earn more than 120K glint this time with me currently hovering around 100K glint as of today.

That is all I could write for this week's Social Media Challenge and it's always fun no matter the battles are with 19 MANA or 99 MANA cap. There are monsters for each MANA cap and for each of those rulesets, it's just that, we need to identify the monsters as quickly as possible and line them up for the battle :)
