Let's come back to the theme of this week's Community Engagement Challenge and this week, we have some interesting topic with write up for strategies for buying, leveling up of cards with step by step guide on how to level up the cards.
Let's go then and see the steps mentioned above and try to explore some information.
Each card is with a BCX and each level needs certain number of cards to be combined in order to move to next higher level with maximum level being 10.
For example, the common cards needs 5 cards to move from level 1 to level 2, 9 more cards from level 2 to level 3 and so on. For a common card to be in maximum level or max level, 400 cards are required as I am sharing a common card stats below:
The number of cards required for rare category are different as the max level is 8 only and details are shared in below screenshot!!!
Although the starting minimum number of cards for level up remains same, the maximum cards required for level 8 is different with 115 cards required to have a max level rare card.
The epic category is even more interesting with all of just 46 cards required although epics are the hardest to earn and cost of buying cards will also be higher.
The legendaries are the ultimate aim of any battler to earn from the packs or rewards but the drop rate of legendary cards will be less than 1% I think.
The number of cards required for each level up and max number of cards for maxing out the legendary monster is 11 cards as shared below.
So, the steps for combining cards are as below:
Well, the benefits are more, it gives us increased stats for the leveled up cards.
If you see the cards stats shared above, on the right most side, we can see a heading ABILITIES and some icons are displayed.
Those icons are for the abilities that particular monster will have when combined up to certain levels.
So, basically, it is required to be combining the cards to move up on level and have extra stats and also the extra abilities.
So, it is advisable to level up as many cards as possible, but legendary cards are the targeted ones with chances of getting legendary ones are very less and that makes leveling up monsters from legendary category is what we normally target to.
For record, I would like to say that, monsters with healing ability and those with dual attacks are being more popular and are naturally advised to be acquiring those to have a strong case in battle.
But, as I mentioned, each of the monsters are with some different ability and the rulesets we have in Splinterlands, allows each of those cards to be useful in different battle types.
First and most desirable One is to buy packs from Splinterlands market place or Third party market places such as Pekmonsters or monster market and open those to have different cards.
If we are targeting the rewards cards for level up, then we need to earn more glint from battle wins and use that from Shop to level the cards.
Third option is to spend some money and buy the cards directly from market instead of buying and opening the packs and this One is more profitable as we can target for specific cards from the market which will save the cost on buying packs as many a times, the cards from packs will be of lesser value.
So, it's like bargain and own the cards as there are bids which will be there for each of those cards we have on market.
I hope this information was interesting One for you and I would like to thank Splinterlands team and all the people behind the team who works and brings out the game for us to play and enjoy and also earn the Crypto.
If we do not upgrade the cards, although we might win some battles here and there, but we can't win consistently as the opponent with leveled up cards will have an advantage over non maxed cards we might have!!!!
Thanks and wishing you all great Monday and great week ahead as we move into week 2 of the new year.
