What an year 2024 for me and for Splinterlands as a whole!!!

Personally, it's been a good year with regards to battles, with regards to SPS and other Cryptos of the game and also with regards to purchase of in game assets.

I have 5 land plots which keeps growing with regards to grains, research points and SPS as I have used some of the best cards I have and the rewards keeps getting accumulated for now and when land 1.75 is live, I should see more use cases with grains I have accumulated.

With regards to SPS, I could achieve a goal I set with 80K SPS staking and I have now over 82K as I write this and I would like to increase it to 1.5 million by the next year end and I think this is an achievable one considering the rewards we are getting from blogging and also the rewards from staking SPS.

The in game assets like Glint token is still not much based on the SPS I have as the cards I have for wild format are not all maxed out and also the SPS staking needs a bit more improvement in order to get more Glint for the battle wins.

With the skyrocketing of BTC price, I could cash in by selling some part of my BTC and I have used that to improve my Hive Power and SPS and those 2 will be again the major goals for me in the new year as well!!!!

Goals:

One of the goals I already mentioned above, i.e. to stake atleast 1.5 million SPS by coming year end and I will definitely achieve that.

Apart from that, I am also planning to invest in the new edition of splinter Conclave Arcana as my current maxed out edition of Chaos Legion will be out of modern format when Conclave Arcana is introduced and hence, I think I need to invest into the new edition in order to keep playing in modern format and I say this because, I do not have a decent deck with Rebellion edition.

I am not sure yet what will be the price of each pack of the new edition, but based on the Rift Watchers. Chaos Legion and Rebellion editions, the price might be again in the same range of $5 per pack and based on my previous experience with packs purchase, I would say we need to buy atleast 500 packs to have a decent deck and I am sure I won't be able to gather 500 * 5 = $2500 with my blogging and SPS returns from battles and staking, so, I might need to cash in some more amount from my BTC I have, but, even that might not be much.

Let's see as we still have atleast 3 4 months of time and I will start saving the HBD for that from now onwards and I think on an average, I can save about 20 HBD per week and 4 months means I will have about 17 or 18 weeks which should get me about $350 worth HBD and I will earn SPS about say $100 and if I could convert some $1K worth BTC, I will still be on target for this.

But all these if's will be a reality if the price is ranged at $5 per pack, if it's gonna be more, then I may not be able to achieve this, but I am just hopeful it will be $5 and also SPS is One of the options to pay, so that, I can start converting some part of BTC to SPS as it is still cheaper and affordable.

I think one major change in my approach this year is more usage of death splinter as compared to water splinter as I have seen some good wins with regards few of the monsters from death splinter as I detail below.

The combination of Riftwing, Skok Duskblight and Will-O-Wisp along with the corrupted healing from Arachne Weaver is one of the best as for as I have observed over last few months and I have been winning many battles with this combination.

I shared a battle link above with the same combination used with couple of other monsters used and I would suggest you to try these 4 monsters if you haven't already.

Some of the hardest monsters I could defeat are like Mantaroth, Arkemis The Bear and even summoner like Eternal Tofu with best monsters could be defeated by this combination and I regard these highly and these will be the my frontrunners in a battle usage.

As we near the end of year 2024, it's a good opportunity to look back and check on what we have achieved and also plan for the year 2025.
