My Hive Journey - The Blogging, Splinterlands, Making Friends, Buying Cryptos

When we start something new which is unplanned One, we don't keep targets. Same thing happened to me in 2017 when I spoke with a Nigerian guy with regards to a software installation he wanted, but couldn't afford the money and instead, he tipped me about a Crypto earning opportunity thru blogging and that is how, my Hive (then it was Steemit) journey started and that was the beginning of my Crypto journey as well.

Like most of us, I started writing on my tech stuffs related to the tools and technologies I use as part of my IT job, but, soon found that, there are no readers of that content and started writing about random topics like events happened in a day or some Sports related stuffs.

During this time, I was just curating the blogs I use to like, I use to comment much as well but the account wasn't growing well.

Suddenly, One day, I saw that I have 5K Steem Power and when I checked, I got to know that a person by name fulltimegeek had delegated that and likewise, some of my fellow bloggers who started around same time also got delegations. Came to know that, it's because of our no self voting and honest commenting and voting on others.

That was a big boost and helped me to earn some hive power and I made lot of friends because of that, got into some curation jobs as well and it was a good enough earning for me that time and we got announcement on Splinterlands!!!

I invested some of my earnings to buy few Alpha packs and got some nice cards as well, kept some of those and sold some gold foiled ones to purchase more packs.

Beta version got announced and then Untamed edition as well and I was earning even more and could afford even more packs purchase and when Chaos Legion edition announced, I had enough money to purchase packs to level up most of the CL edition cards.

I got so many cards from CL and subsequent editions including rewards cards that, I created few alt accounts and I am addicted to Splinterlands till now!!!

The earnings from my blogs also kept on improving and even during those worst bear market days, I used to write blogs on Sports and Splinterlands content and that helped me to get closer to 10K Hive Power of what I have now.

I have re-invested all my earnings so far without withdrawing anything and most of my earnings goes into Splinterlands and I also invest in Bitcoin and other coins on Hive Engine with Leo being the latest craze for me and I have kept myself the targets of 12K Hive Power, 15K Leo Power and 80K SPS and I feel I am on target for that.

At One time, I had Splinterlands assets worth $65K, but that has got reduced now, that is a different story, but the craze for Splinterlands is never reduced.

On Twitter, I see that, there are n number of Splinterlands lovers and the support we get there is humongous and that is what the power of a community and I feel blessed to be part of Splinterlands family.

My journey has been with ups and downs on Hive, but I never took it too much into heart as all the earnings are for retirement age and I am just hoping that, my Hive Power and other assets on Hive will earn me enough to lead a retirement life, so no withdrawals as of now :).

I will continue my investment strategies of investing in Bitcoin, native Hive tokens such as Leo, SPS and few others on Hive Engine to earn passive incomes and even a $15 per day passive income can be a good One and I hope I can earn that much passive income One day.

Improvement in earnings from blogs will open doors to invest more towards the goal of earning more passive income and I will strive for that and have been a regular blogger now.

I see I have returns of $70 to $90 per week including the curation cuts. So, that is about $35 to $45 after curation cuts and as we know, half of that will be Hive Power, so, roughly I earn about $25 in HBD per week and there are some Hive earned from delegations and token holdings to make it another $5 worth.

So, improving that $30 per week to $15 per day will take lot of efforts and investments of time for me, but I am hopeful and will achieve that some day.

Why I am writing about this topic of my Hive Journey?
