Hola querido hiver.

Si hay algo que me hace disfrutar es aprender y descubrir cosas nuevas. Cuando esos descubrimientos se producen dentro de la ciudad en la que vivo los disfruto con más intensidad si cabe porque me recuerdan que no necesito hacer grandes viajes ni desplazarme lejos para saciar mi sed de conocimientos.

Mi visita al Mobility City fue en el mes de febrero. Por eso, aunque salí del Pabellón Puente alrededor de las siete de la tarde el cielo ya estaba casi oscuro del todo. Como no podía ser de otra forma, las siluetas iluminadas de los edificios que abrazan al río Ebro en ese punto provocaron mi admiración y que sacara el móvil una vez más en esa tarde para hacer fotografías.

Me disponía a dirigirme hacia la parada de autobús más cercana para regresar a mi casa, pero me salió al paso algo extraño. Tuve que frotarme los ojos para asegurarme de que era real. ¿Tenía frente a mí la famosa fórmula de la teoría de la relatividad?

No solo eso. ¡Allí estaba el mismísimo Albert Einstein! Y me dio un potente mensaje:

THE IMPORTANT THING IS NOT TO STOP QUESTIONING.
(Tr: Lo importante es no dejar de hacerse preguntas)

Ni por asomo me atrevería a compararme con uno de los cerebros más prodigiosos que ha tenido la historia del ser humano, pero no deja de ser un consuelo pensar que los genios que nos han precedido se enfrentaron a idénticas dudas y tuvieron similares inquietudes que una servidora.

Junto a la escultura del físico alemán encontramos dos relojes de sol, uno de mañana y uno de tarde.

Fue toda una sorpresa y un placer estar cara a cara con uno de los científicos más importantes del siglo pasado.

A un par de metros de la escultura, un gran panel nos explica el monumento. Conmemora el centenario de la visita que Albert Einstein realizó a la ciudad en 1923. Puedes saber más sobre él en este enlace.

Hi, dear hiver.

If there’s one thing I really enjoy, it’s learning and discovering new things. When those discoveries happen right here in the city where I live, I enjoy them even more, if that’s possible, because they remind me that I don’t need to go on long journeys or travel far to quench my thirst for knowledge.

My visit to Mobility City was in February. So, although I left the Pabellón Puente at around seven in the evening, the sky was already almost completely dark. Unsurprisingly, the illuminated silhouettes of the buildings hugging the River Ebro at that point filled me with admiration and prompted me to take out my mobile once again that evening to take some photos.

I was just about to head to the nearest bus stop to go home, but something strange caught my eye. I had to rub my eyes to make sure it was real. Was I looking at the famous formula for the theory of relativity?

Not only that. Albert Einstein himself was there! And he gave me a powerful message:

THE IMPORTANT THING IS NOT TO STOP QUESTIONING.

I wouldn’t dream of comparing myself to one of the most prodigious minds in human history, but it is still a comfort to think that the geniuses who came before us faced the very same doubts and had similar concerns to yours truly.

Next to the sculpture of the German physicist are two sundials, one for the morning and one for the afternoon.

It was quite a surprise and a pleasure to come face to face with one of the most important scientists of the last century.
