This morning, Florence and I went to the job center.
Florence wanted to find out what types of jobs were in demand in the region, to see what she could offer professionals through her freelance secretarial work. As for me, I went to see if there were any companies that might need me.

I found three, in different sectors, to which I sent a CV and her famous cover letter. Even though the Forem would also like me to send unsolicited applications, I admit that I'm having trouble getting started with this step...

I find this approach extremely intrusive, like: Hi (I'm getting my foot in the door), I know you're not looking, but here's my resume, contact me as soon as possible... Even if, at one time, it was useful for getting into their database, now, with the influx of hundreds of thousands of people looking for jobs, it must just drown HR managers in tons of useless paperwork, especially since they aren't even supposed to keep resumes, since, with the GDPR, sensitive data is supposed to be destroyed as soon as it's no longer needed. However, since they're not looking for anyone right now, the resume will be destroyed immediately, at least if they want to comply with the GDPR...

After that, I cleared my head with two musical creations that I previewed. For our Fans, Grand-fans, and Twitch subscribers, on the dedicated Discord channel.

Ce matin, nous sommes, Florence et moi, allé à la maison de l'emploi.
Florence voulait se renseigner sur quels types d'emplois étaient demandés dans la région, pour voir ce qu'elle pouvait offrir aux professionnels via son activité de secrétaire indépendante. Quant à moi, j'ai été voir s'il y avait des sociétés susceptibles d'avoir besoin de moi.

J'en ai trouvé 3, dans des secteurs différents, auxquelles j'ai envoyé un cv, et sa fameuse lettre de motivation. Même si le forem voudrait également que j'envoie des candidatures spontanées, j'avoue que pour cette étape là, j'ai du mal à m'y mettre...

Je trouve cette démarche extrêmement intrusive, du genre : Salut (je cale mon pied dans la porte), je sais que vous ne cherchez pas, mais voici mon CV, contactez-moi au plus vite ... Même si, fut une époque c'était utile pour entrer dans leur base de données, autant maintenant, avec l'afflux de centaines de milliers de gens en recherche d'emplois, cela doit juste noyer les DRH sous des tonnes de paperasse inutile, surtout qu'il ne sont même pas censés garder les CV, puisque, avec le RGPD, les données sensibles sont supposées être détruites dès qu'on en a plus l'usage, or, comme il ne cherchent personne en ce moment, le cv sera détruit immédiatement, du moins s'ils veulent respecter le RGPD...

Après cela, je me suis vidé la tête avec deux créations musicales que j'ai mises en avant-première pour nos Fans, Grand-fans, et abonnés twitch, sur le canal discord prévu à cet effet.
