Black and White exploration in the city
A couple of days I went to a neary city. During my walk through the city I made some shots I liked.
As I think these shots look nice in black and white I made a post for the #monomad contest.
The city has a lot of beautiful bridges. At first I didn't like the fact that there were a lot of bicycles on the bridge (they are all over the city by the way, welcome to The Netherlands 😀). But I took the shot because I really liked the reflections of the water on the inside of the bridge.
This seagull was calmly sitting on the quay. These birds are quite cheeky. Especially on market days they try to steal food from people.

Another interesting but very different bridge from the first one is this metal drawbridge over the canal.
A fun thing to do with black and white photography is to make photographs look really old. An old city is perfect for that. It's nice that the city keeps street furniture like lampposts in old style too.

Hi! congrats on the wonderful black and white streets series. I don't think that BW makes them old look, but for my opinion, isolates the objects from the distortion of the colors and make them more bold, dramatic and having personality
for me the bikes in the first one just add to the urban feeling of the image :-)
