It’s been quite a while since I posted a black and white photography blog. I mostly photograph nature and somehow I always find it more attracting when I post that in color. Especially now in spring when everything is in bloom and the colors are so vivid. I hope talking about colors isn't a sacrilege here by the way 😂
But last week I was in France with the family. My wife and kids really like visiting second-hand stores and they found one, a brocante, in the neighborhood of our camping.
As soon as I entered the first hall, I immediately knew this would result in some nice black and white photographs. The brocante consisted of several large halls filled to the rafters with old stuff. Books, records, paintings, tableware, toys, furniture... you name it.
Outside there was a terrain where they had vases, tools, lawnmowers and much more.
I also noticed a small caravan somewhere on the terrain. The door was open and when I peaked inside I noticed there were a lot of instruments inside.
I've chosen this photo as my submission of the #monomad contest for today.
I hope you like it. I'll add some of the other photos below.
Tiny caracan full of instruments
A nice collection of guitars and drums
Some really old chests
An army of lawnmowers
Hundreds of items of tableware
One of the halls stuffed with second-hand items
The ladies had a great time looking around and they also found some nice items; plates, bowls, shoes, a jacket, a purse and some handbags (you can't get enought of them I've been told 😂)

Mono does it justice, what a great place to wander round, love the lawn mowers
Yeah, it was really fun to walk around there. Even for me :D
The photos of these places are always great and the black and white makes them even more special... you know, I have a fascination for crockery. Whenever I see these things I'm totally mesmerised. If I had a lot of money to splurge I might have collections of them.
You would have loved the place then. There were loads!
Excellent pictures @friendlymoose. My daughter would love that place because of the great guitar collection shown in your photos. Greetings and nice day ☺️
Thanks! They had quite a few guitars indeed!
