Busy teaching and learning in remote villages
■ My beloved friend, in my post this time, is entitled about teaching and learning activities in remote areas in the province of Aceh, Indonesia, and in this post, you can see how elementary school students pedal their bicycles leaving their school building to return to their respective homes.
They left the school building because their study time was over that day and we witnessed them racing one another to reach their house which was very far from their school and plus the road they were walking was very uphill but they still went to school using pedal bikes.
They do this kind of thing every day when they come and go, but their enthusiasm never diminishes in pursuing knowledge to achieve their goals even though their homes and schools are very far away and the roads are winding and incline.
And not only them but also my child also attends that school and my child also travels very far to his school. we can imagine how these children need special attention from the government to pay serious attention to the transportation of school children.
And it's not only me who is concerned for them but many parties who also feel sorry for this drama and if we ask them do you continue to go to school because of the distance you have traveled? they answered honestly we still go to school despite the obstacles we face
Hearing those words, we are very happy with them because their enthusiasm continues to burn in the pursuit of knowledge for their future.
This elementary school has six (6) local schools from grade one (1) to grade six (6) and they have to study for six (6) years and then graduate from that school and after that they continue to a higher level and the distance is even even further from elementary school.
According to the story of the people there, this school was built for a long time and see the notes written on the plaque wall. This school was built in 1950 and has produced tens of thousands of outstanding students and some have even held important people's positions out there.
And this is a village school whose location is very remote and far from the modernization of the times and even so the board of teachers and their students always exist in studying knowledge for their retirement.
And that's the story from the corner of the village in the province of Aceh, Indonesia, I hope it will be useful for you for the news of this post.
And best wishes to you and your family and always warm greetings to the ASEAN HIVE community wherever you are right now.
