Gosh, it sounds like you're raising 3 daughters now. That poor little girl is lucky to have you guys as neighbours. Loving the proverbs. Might have to share some Aussie ones.
We didn't plan on it, but when I reflect back on each week, I usually realize that Mey-Yii has slept at our house more often than not. I would love to hear some Aussie proverbs, not sure if I already know any or not, but let me try to make one up now.......
A kangaroo with an esky in the avo is not stopped by a rabbit proof fence.
Does it work? I maxed out my OZ vocab in that one 🤣
You guys are "true blue" looking after that little girl.
"Fair crack of the whip" which is also "give a bloke a break mate" or "Fair shake of the sauce bottle" all meaning give someone a chance. "A squeaky wheel gets the oil" meaning he who complains the loudest gets the attention. Hope that broadens your Aussie vocabulary 😉
