The Best Gift: A Birthday Full of Greetings

Last Tuesday was my birthday and it was not just a normal birthday for me because there were lots of firsts on that birthday. It was unforgettable birthday for me and there were lots of many things that I experience that I never forget and will never forget on that day.

So, I thought that last Tuesday, which was my birthday was just another normal day for me since that's what I used to. Just a normal day for my birthday and just buy some cakes and others.

Before, there were no colleagues, only a few friends and my family that will say happy birthday to me because I am working from home because I disabled my birthday status in my social media.

I went to the company without expecting anything because I only thought that we only eat food or snack during birthdays just like the other colleagues birthday.

But it turned out that it was different because there were different kinds of co-workers that greeted me on that day and I was flattered by them. I was happy and delighted on my birthday.

One thing that delighted me was how they surprised me on my birthday because that was my first time that anyone gave me a surprised (except for my family) with my colleagues and my friends. I didn't expect that they would surprised me in that way and I don't have any idea about it.

The surprised was that in our department, they had bought cake and a balloon and when I will get to my office, they will say a big happy birthday to me. Because at time, I was busy doing work in another departments and yeah, little did I know, they prepared something for me that I made me happy and one of my dreams to get surprised on my birthday was granted.

After they surprised me, we took photos together with them. With my own department on where I belong and also to the other departments in that office.

That was one of my long dreams to get surprise on my birthday and it really happen in my work. Aside from that, many people and colleagues said happy birthday to myself on that day which made me touch by it and it's a rare birthday that many people would greet me on that day.

Although, I plan on not telling anyone about my birthday but our HR was the one who was assigned about birthdays and she knows because she had our profiles and stuffs.

We continue throughout the day and we prepare a little lunch for the company itself. Although, it was contribution to each one of the employees of when there was a birthday we will contribute on it and share with the employees to celebrate the birthday in the company aside from celebrating their birthday in our own respective house.

Usually, when there's birthday, it was celebrated in the afternoon which was a snack time in our company.

But for me, I decided to celebrated the celebration during lunch time for a change since we had many birthdays that celebrated during snack but I need to give some of my pocket money because the budget for lunch is more expensive than buying snacks in the afternoon.

At lunch time, the food was prepared and it was a set of fried chicken, with rice and gravy. Also, there's some drinks like C2 and cola.

There were also a cake, and gifts for me, too. Expected that if someone will celebrate their birthday, they will get cake and gifts, too. With snacks provided for all of the employees that work there.

I ended my birthday with so many people that greeted me and also one of my dreams about surprising me was fulfilled on that day. I saw lots of employees their smile and happiness, too, during my birthday and they were happy that I prepared lunch on that day.
