A Small Fruit given & Birthday Celebration at our Company

When New Year comes, people are getting busy preparing for something that they will present in New Year, some were not as busy as the others because they prefer on buying food rather than cooking it because it's also tiring to cook the food, too.

I didn't expect that we will have our work the day before the New Year which is the 31st of December because mostly or usually, they don't have any work at that time of the year.

Even though that I didn't expect it but they company itself have some surprises for us, the employees, that they give for each one of us. Well, that is giving the fruits that they prepare beforehand.

The fruits consist of apples, oranges, and mini mandarin oranges. I thought that there were no gifts for us for the New Year but when we went to the company, they prepare this for us and we were glad and happy that we receive this kind of fruits that we can display and eat during the New Year.

Aside from that, our company has a small birthday celebration for one of the employees in the company. Well, it's like a pre-celebration because it's the day before New Year.

What the company prepare is a meal which is chicken with gravy and rice. The company also cooked rice, too, and roasted pork meat.

I love this kind of little event because we enjoy ourselves as we eat together and share together. It showed that this company is valuing the employees and celebrating their birthdays, too, because not all of the company celebrates the employee's birthday. Also, as we share together the food, most of the time, our boss will join us in eating the food.

Also, we only work only in the mornings because we, the employees, prepare for the New Year and some needs to buy ingredients for the food that they will cook or buy the food directly.

As for me, I plan on buying fruits and the company gave us free fruits on that day and I will need to buy the remaining fruits for the 13th fruits that we will prepare and display on our living room.

I didn't bought any cakes for this New Year because me and my family didn't usually ate cakes and most of the times, it will only put in the refrigerator for days or even weeks and it's a waste of money if we buy one. Although, during Christmas, I bought some cake but we only ate a few of it and we gave the remaining cakes to our relatives and friends.
