Valentine And Birthday At One

Am I late to tell you the surprises I receive these Valentine's? Honestly I wasn't expecting anything. But because it's also my birthday three days ago my kids really put an effort to surprise me. I told them not to buy me anything. I'll be happier if they'll just buy stuff for their needs. But they really insist on making me happy.

Last Friday at Ria and JJ school an event was held by the SPTA or Students Parents Teachers Association. But before that a solicitation was needed. Every Valentine's day the school gave a student a ticket for a raffle. It's a cake for a cause. Each paper has a number from 1-100, each number costs 5.00 pesos. They can ask their relatives to buy from them and win the cake. Or they can just buy the whole page just like what we did. We paid 200 pesos for Ria and JJ. For each grade, one student will have a chance to won the cake. My son even won when he was in the third or fourth grade.

Ria and JJ were wearing Red clothes on Valentine's, there were no classes that day. But they are practicing a dance for their field day. I went early to check on my kids, my co-parents also messaged me that Ria is looking for me.

My kids didn't won any cake. At the same time there was a game for parents. The president of the SPTA said to a bring a photo of husband and wife. Photos on cellphones are allowed. That day my husband hasn't greeted me, we also had a misunderstanding. Upon looking at our photos, I was thinking if I should be the one to greet him first.

This is the cupcake that I won. I didn't expect that the box will be big enough for the cup cake. I didn't cooperate in the next game. It was between a parent and a child. I already know that it will be a dramatic exchanging of message. Their messages made a teary eye for everyone.

That night my kids gave me their gift. @katsuki29 gave me a phone charm, she personalize it with my favorite color and character. My name Usagi comes from my favorite anime Sailor Moon. While my son gave a clamp with a rose design on it. I have a big love for roses. I'm happy and proud at my kids.

Last Friday was my husband's day off, we already finished eating our dinner. I cooked him fried fish, my daughter was the one who picked him up at the road. I was lying down in bed, Katsuki suddenly asked if I wanted a bread. It was long time since he bought us. I told my daughter I was already full, then she repeat the question mom, what do you like bread or flower? I was surprised that she gave me a sunflower. Actually it was the second or third time that I received a flower from my husband for our 21 years being together. But atleast I will not get envy seeing my friends in social media having their selves happy receiving gifts from their love one's.
