One Step Closer To His Dreams

This moving up ceremony happened last month of April, but the memories and happiness from that day are still very fresh in my heart.” Maybe I'm excited because their back to school is upcoming so even I freshly forgot to write it. I still want to share this memorable moment.

My son recently had his moving up ceremony, and as a mother, it was one of the proudest moments for me. Time really goes fast. It feels like yesterday when he was still a shy little boy, and now he already completed junior high school.

These ref magnet was given by their classmate. I really liked it because it will become a simple remembrance of their school days and friendship. Small things like that becomes special when years pass by. I even told my co-parent to please make another after two years! But he said he will transfer his son to another school.

Our selfies together is also very special to me. We don’t always take pictures together, so I really treasure that moment. My son is not very close to his classmates. He is friendly and respectful, but he is the type of person who stays quiet unless someone talks to him first. Even though he is like that, I am still very proud of him. Honestly, I think he is one of the most humble among them. He never likes showing off and he always stays simple.

Another special thing for me was seeing his home room teacher again. She was also my math teacher when I was in 8th grade many years ago. It feels so emotional and surprising that now she became my son’s teacher too. She is still kind and patient just like before. Seeing them together made me remember my own school days. I even told her nothing change, looking young and glowing.

Their class picture also made me smile. Even if my son is not very close with everyone, I know he still made memories with them. They spent many years studying together, doing activities, projects, and facing challenges in school.

The ceremony itself was simple but meaningful. While watching him sit there wearing his moving up stole, I suddenly realized how much he already grown. As a parent, we may not always have money for big celebrations, but seeing our children finish another chapter in life is already enough to make our hearts full. I know there are still many challenges waiting for him in senior high school, but I will always support him. I am proud of the person he is becoming, not only because of his achievements, but because of his good and humble heart.
