School opening is getting near, so me and my two daughters went out to buy school supplies. Honestly, I never thought it would be this tiring. Maybe because this year we had to be very careful with our budget. Buying supplies for three children is not easy, specially when prices are higher now compared before.

My daughter was actually the one helping me choose the items. She looked at me and jokingly said, "Now you know how hard it is, Mom!" We both laughed because she is usually the one who manages her own school things and tries to save money whenever possible. But this time, we had to buy many things all at once.

At first, our push cart was already full. We picked notebooks, pens, pencils, paper, plastic covers, scissors, and other school needs. But before going to the cashier, I went to one corner of the store and checked everything again. I sorted some items into a basket and reviewed the list carefully. I wanted to make sure that all the important things were there and that we were not buying things we did not really need.

Even though Ria's school supplies were already complete, I still had to think about the needs of my other two children. They may not have gotten everything they wanted, but at least we were able to buy the most important things they need for school. That is what matters most.

When we arrived home, the work was not yet finished. We separated all the school supplies according to each child. Even though it's tiring specially with our strict budget, seeing their new things getting ready for school is all worth it 🥰

I messaged my friend and told her to make my kids a printed name and subjects. After that, I started covering the notebooks with plastic. I always prefer doing it myself. It takes time, but I enjoy it somehow. It reminds me of my own school days when my non-biological mom also prepared my things before classes started.

After a few hours, everything was finally done. Seeing the notebooks neatly covered and the supplies arranged properly made me feel satisfied. It was tiring, my shoulders are aching but it also made me happy. As parents, we always try our best to provide what our childrens need.

Now their school supplies are ready, and all that is left is to wait for the first day of classes. I hope they will study hard and take care of the things we worked hard to prepare for them.

Aww, on tight budget but for the bagets, magagawan ng paraan yan. And omg, kabilis, pasukan na naman. Diti may ilang school na nag start na eh. Dyan pala hindi pa..
