An Unexpected Puppy in Our Home

Last May 27, something unexpected happened in our home. We did not really plan to have another pet, especially a puppy. Living in an area where floods are common, having an indoor dog was never part of our plans. We already have many things to think about every day, so adding another responsibility was not expected.

When my husband told my daughter to get the dog, she misunderstood what he said. She thought it was going to be a cooked dog dish. 😅 When she looked and saw a small puppy instead, she became very excited. I still remember how happy she was that day.

The first thing she did was give him a bath. After that she carefully dried him and carried him around like a baby. Everyone in the house wanted to hold him. We were all smiling because he was so small and cute.

We decided to name him Max.

At first it was Bruno while my husband wants to call him Tanggol! Means to protect or protection. So in the end his name was Max Tanggol we'll just used it as a surname.

From the very first day, Max quickly became part of our family. We hugged him, played with him, and took many pictures. One of our photos together even became my profile picture because I was so happy to have him. Others kept saying that he looked like a Golden Retriever, although we are not really sure about his breed.

Since he was still very young, I wanted to make sure he had good food. I usually prepare his meals by shredding fish or meat into very small pieces. Sometimes I also mix a little crushed vegetables with his food. Preparing food for him takes extra time, but I do not really mind.

To be honest, having an indoor puppy is not always easy. There are times when I have to clean after him again and again. Anyone who has raised a puppy will probably understand what I mean. Sometimes I laugh because I feel like I have another baby in the house.

Even with all the extra work, Max brought something very special to our family. He brought laughter, excitement, and happiness that we did not expect. The house feels more alive because of him. Every day there is something funny or cute that he does.

We never planned to have a puppy, but sometimes the best things come when we are not expecting them. Max may have arrived unexpectedly, but he already became an important part of our family.
