A Beautiful Sunrise, Friendship, and Simple Family Moments

One morning, my daughter Katsuki told me that she was invited by her former high school classmates. They planned to go jogging together very early in the morning. Their meeting time was 5:00 AM, so everyone had to wake up before sunrise. I was happy because instead of staying at home using their phones, they decided to do something healthy together.

As they were walking, they were lucky enough to witness a very beautiful sunrise. The sky slowly changed into orange and golden colors, while the sun reflected on the water. My daughter took some pictures because she said the view was too beautiful not to remember. Looking at those photos made me wish I was there with them.

They walked for almost 4.2 kilometers, and it took them about one hour to reach their destination. I can only imagine how tired they were, but I know they also enjoyed every step because they were together. Along the way, they stopped by a small mini mart to buy snacks and drinks. Of course, they also took a few selfies before continuing their little adventure. Young people really love taking pictures, and I think it makes their memories even more special.

What makes me happy is that even though they are no longer studying in the same school, they still keep in touch with each other. They don't see each other as often as before, but their friendship is still there. I think that is something very nice to see. Real friends don't need to meet every day. Sometimes one simple invitation is enough to make everyone smile again.

The next day was another happy day at home. Katsuki spent time with her younger sister. The two of them really enjoy drawing together. Honestly, I don't know where they got their talent because I can't even draw a simple flower properly. 😅 But watching them enjoy their hobby makes me happy as their mom.

While they were busy together, I continued doing my usual house chores. I was ironing their school clothes so they would be ready for the next school day. I didn't even notice that my daughter was secretly taking pictures of me while I was ironing. When she showed me the photos later, I couldn't stop laughing. I wasn't ready for the camera at all.

Looking back, these are just ordinary moments. A morning walk, a beautiful sunrise, sisters spending time together, and a mother ironing clothes. But for me, these simple moments are the ones that become the best memories. Life doesn't always need big celebrations to be beautiful. Sometimes, happiness is simply found in friendship, family, and the little things we often forget to appreciate.
