Good day to all my dear asean hivers! How did you spend your weekend? I hope it was filled with smiles and sunshine! It's been bright, the sun has been shining all day, and my day is cozy as the weather.
Today the time has finally come to harvest our soursop locally known as guyabano. We patiently waiting, watching our soursop tree, wondering if the day might be the day. We're waiting for the perfect moment when the fruit would be ready. As we checked the soursop's slow transformation each morning brought a new sense of anticipation. It takes time for a good soursop to ripen, that one cannot be rushed, the nature has its own rhythm. It starts off firm and deep green and gradually its skins soften, its color lightens, and sweet aroma begins to fill the air. Guyabano becomes even more sweeter and flavorful when allowed to ripen naturally on the tree than one picked too soon.
As I bring the fruit down from the tree, I am about to drool, there's a quiet celebration in my heart. Luckily the fruit is reachable by me, the other fruits I asked my brother to pick it up because it's on the top of the tree. We can already imagine turning it into fresh juice, smoothies or even it enjoying by the spoonful.
My daughter is very excited to eat, we just sliced the fruit and simply ate directly. My niece and nephews enjoyed eating the guyabano. It was a day filled with blessing, waiting for our soursop to be ripen wasn't just about the fruit - it was about patience, appreciation and watching something grow with beauty.
Beyond the delicious taste of soursop is also packed with impressive health benefits such as boost immune system because is rich in vitamin C and has powerful antioxidants that helps strengthen immune system. It has also high fiber content that helps regulate bowel movements and prevents constipation. Guyabano also used in traditional medicine to reduce inflammation. It may be helpful in easing symptoms joint pain, athritis, and even swelling caused by minor injuries. I remember when I was in Elementary grade my ankle was injured my mother put leaves of guyabano to the injured part and it was easing the pain.
That's all for today's blog. Thank you for reading my post and I would love to hear your thoughts. Till next time. Wishing you all a lovely start to the new week.

Agree guyabano is delicious, and rich of vitamin C, very healthy fruit to boost our immune system.
Soursop or guyabano is chico carabao in our dialect. My kids doesn't like to eat it raw so I usually blend this with fresh milk so that they would appreciate the taste more. Sometimes I mix it with other fruits such as banana and pineapple if I want to have smoothie. Indeed, the fruit has plenty of health benefits ☺️
It would be more delicious and tasty mixing it with other fruits.
Couldn't agree more.😊

Delicious and nutritious soursop. I also like soursop smoothie. We're always excited for our fruit-bearing trees to bear fruits. We sometimes boil the leaves of soursop and drink its tea in the morning for medicinal benefits. I read that soursop also has anti-cancer properties.
I've also read about that soursop has anti-cancer properties- nature provides a truly powerful remedies. I also make guyabano tea sometimes.
This is definitely healthy. We have lots of trees of this and when it ripens it's a lot and we make smoothies. Or else we sell it online because many people love this since like what you said it has so many health benefits.
Making smoothie can be more tasteful, we don't sell our soursop there are children asking for free and we just give it them.
